Former Bachelorette Emily Maynard’s Husband Celebrates Her Daughter Ricki’s 1st Mother’s Day

Former Bachelorette Emily Maynard’s husband is thinking of her eldest daughter, Ricki, this Mother’s Day.

“So proud of this new mommy and how you have given your whole heart to our new sweet baby girl!” Tyler Johnson wrote via his Instagram Story on Sunday, May 10. “Happy Mother’s Day @rickihendrickk.”

Johnson also paid tribute to Maynard, 39, with whom he shares five kids, in a separate Instagram post on Sunday. (The pair shares sons Jennings, 10, Gibson, 9, Gatlin, 8, and Jones, 3, and daughter Nola Belle, 5, with Johnson. Ricki is Maynard’s daughter with late ex-fiancé Ricky Hendrick.)

“Hard to imagine we could be more blessed by God than to have you 🥰🥰🥰 We are constantly in awe of you — and honestly a little obsessed with you — @emilygmaynard,” he wrote via Instagram. “Happy Mother’s Day 😘.”

Ricki announced in August 2025 that she was pregnant with her first baby. At the time, Ricky shared an ultrasound photo via her Instagram Story while quoting Love Island USA’s Huda Mustafa, writing, “Netflix told me I’m not allowed to talk about it.”

In a follow-up slide, Ricki shared a video of her baby moving, writing, “My heart is so full, yet my stomach is so empty because she hates all food. I’m convinced.”

Weeks later, Ricki asked Maynard about her having “a baby outside marriage.” (Ricki has not publicly revealed the identity of her daughter’s father.)

“Very against it,” Maynard quipped in a social media clip shared via Instagram in September 2025. “I cannot believe anybody would ever do that. Unforgivable.”

Ricki went on to joke that Maynard was “so upset” about becoming a grandmother.

“My mom is truthfully so devastated, she’s so upset,” Ricki quipped, sharing footage of baby items that Maynard had purchased. “She’s not excited at all for me to have a baby. She’s pissed, actually. She’s super angry. She can’t even look at me. She doesn’t support it at all. She is pissed.”

Ricki also shared her gratitude for her mom, saying, “These are all things she got on her own and she is not done. This is all stuff at her house too, not even my own.”

In January, Ricki shared that her daughter had arrived while featuring black-and-white photos after the birth. “Best day ever,” she wrote via Instagram at the time.

Maynard and Johnson expressed their support via social media, sharing photos of them cradling the newborn.

“We became grandparents today!!” the pair wrote in a joint post via Instagram. “The feeling is inexpressible 🤍🤍🤍. This is love.”
