Charlie Colin, a former bassist for the band Train, has died. He was 58.

The musician slipped and fell in a shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium, his mother told TMZ Wednesday.

It was not immediately clear when the accident occurred, as Colin was not discovered until his friend returned home from their trip five days ago.

His grieving mom shared that Colin, who was a founding member of the pop band, moved to Brussels where he was teaching a music master class at a conservatory.

Colin was also busy working in the studio making music for a film, she told the website.

The late rocker was apparently quite close with his mother and his most recent post on Instagram was dedicated to her.

“⚜️❤️‍🔥My mom… Jackie O/ yet a tad prettier, a true artist 💖❤️‍🔥❤️the loveliest most intelligent woman. happy mother’s day 💝,” Colin captioned a childhood photo of him and his mom on Instagram on Mother’s Day earlier this month.

Colin seemed to be enjoying his time living in Brussels and often posted photos of his day-to-day activities there.

“⚜️🇧🇪 Officially my favorite city🌃🏙️ 🌆,” he captioned a selfie with friends at a local gallery in March.

His Instagram was flooded with messages from mourning fans after the news broke of his passing.

“Sending my thoughts and prayers to your family and friends…♥️,” one fan commented on his post. Another added, “Rip angel 😢.”

Colin and fellow founding members Pat Monahan, Rob Hotchkiss, Jimmy Stafford and Scott Underwood formed the band in San Francisco in the mid ’90s.

The group, known for hits like “Drops of Jupiter” and “Hey, Soul Sister,” became widely popular.

They even won two Grammy Awards in 2003 for their work. A year later, Colin left the band.

The current members of Train have yet to release a statement about Colin’s heartbreaking passing.
