Gary Coleman’s ex-wife, Shannon Price, says she had ‘no choice’ but to take actor off life support

Gary Coleman’s ex-wife, Shannon Price, is doubling down on why she pulled the plug on the late actor.
“I had no choice,” she said on A&E’s “Lie Detector: Truth or Deception,” according to People. “He had gone into cardiac arrest, and that is ultimately what took his life.”
Coleman suffered a bad fall at his house in May 2010, while Price was in the home. She called 911 but did not drive the “Diff’rent Strokes” alum to the hospital herself over fears she’d suffer a seizure.
Coleman was then taken to the emergency room via EMTs and hospitalized in critical condition.
“They called me Thursday morning and said, ‘Does Gary have a DNR [do not resuscitate order]?’” Price further recalled on “Lie Detector” before claiming she told doctors, “Yeah, resuscitate him.”
“I tried. I tried to do everything in my will,” she continued to insist.
Price, 39, said when she visited her ex-husband his condition had worsened and doctors allegedly told her, “‘Shannon, we do not think that he is going to make it until Friday.’”
The “Divorce Court” alum explained that she felt she had no choice at that point but to take him off life support because he was “not going to get any better.”
She claimed she asked the medical professionals all the right questions, noting Coleman’s eyes were even dilated by the time she saw him in person, adding, “That’s when I knew.”
Host Tony Harris pointed out on “Lie Detector” that Price had been divorced from the “Gary Coleman Show” alum for nearly two years prior to the accident, but she “presented a document at the hospital naming her as the decision maker on Gary’s advanced medical directive.”
Price noted in response that Coleman allegedly did not want to divorce her in the first place and that she had still been living in his house despite the split.
“My stuff was there, everything was there, we were still together,” she claimed. “There’s two things I regret: divorcing him, and not being able to save his life.”
Despite Price’s interpretation of their relationship, it was revealed shortly after Coleman’s death that he had filed a restraining order against her just months before his fatal fall.
He claimed via court docs previously obtained by RadarOnline that Price had “shown a tendency to damage, destroy and steal [his] property,” adding, “I believe she will continue to do so in my absence and while she is trespassing in my home.”
The suspicious details surrounding Coleman’s passing have long raised questions about whether Price played a role in the beloved former child star’s death.
On “Lie Detector,” the Utah-born actress failed a polygraph test in which she was asked, “Did you physically cause Gary’s fall?,” further fueling the speculation.
Price, however, called the test results “false,” maintaining her innocence.
