Gucci Mane allegedly kidnapped, robbed at gunpoint in Dallas studio by other rappers
Rapper Pooh Shiesty has been arrested and charged with allegedly kidnapping and robbing Gucci Mane and other victims at gunpoint.
According to the Department of Justice, Pooh Shiesty — whose real name is Lontrell Williams Jr. — and eight other defendants travelled to Dallas, Texas, to kidnap and rob victims who thought they were coming into town for a business meeting.
The federal criminal complaint alleges that the “Back in Blood” rapper arranged the meeting on Jan. 10 to discuss his recording contract — he was previously signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 record label. Then, he and the defendants executed a coordinated armed takeover.
The complaint alleges that he produced an AK-style pistol and forced one of the victims to sign a release from his recording contract at gunpoint. His alleged conspirators also allegedly brought out guns and robbed the victims of Rolex watches, jewelry, cash and other high-value items.
Rodney Wright Jr., known as rapper Big30, allegedly blocked the door so the victims couldn’t leave the room.
The complaint states that within hours of the robbery, the defendants posted what appeared to be some of the stolen jewelry on social media.
All nine defendants are charged with kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
If convicted, they could face a sentence of up to life in prison.
According to the Department of Justice, Pooh Shiesty was already on home confinement for a prior firearms conspiracy conviction out of the Southern District of Florida during the time of the alleged crime.
His father, Lontrell Williams Sr., is alleged to have helped plan and execute the kidnapping.
Page Six reached out to Gucci Mane’s rep for comment, but didn’t receive an immediate response.
Gucci Mane — whose real name is Radric Ravis — has yet to comment on the alleged kidnapping and robbery.
