Gwyneth Paltrow’s Oscars 2026 dress is slit all the way up the sides

Gwyneth Paltrow is reigning supreme at the Academy Awards.

The “Marty Supreme” actress hit the Oscars 2026 red carpet wearing a strapless, ivory silk Giorgio Armani Privé gown that showed off more skin that it appears at first glance.

While the design oozes Old Hollywood elegance from the front, a turn to the side reveals dramatic high cut-out slits — and hidden sparkly sheer trousers.

She paired the look with a dazzling diamond necklace (and unlike the one her character wears in “Marty Supreme,” this one’s hardly costume jewelry).

Though Paltrow, 53, is not nominated for any awards, she is set to present during tonight’s telecast.

“Marty Supreme,” however, got the nod in nine categories, including best picture. Meanwhile, co-star Timothée Chalamet (who also wore head-to-toe white) is up for best actor and Josh Safdie is nominated for directing, writing and film editing.

Her character in the ping-ping period piece, Hollywood starlet Kay Stone, would certainly approve of tonight’s look.

Makeup artist Kyra Panchenko told Page Six Style, however, of a vulnerable makeup-free moment for Paltrow in the film, revealing that she wears nothing but Goop in a post-shower scene.

It’s a rare Oscars appearance for the lifestyle brand founder as tonight is Paltrow’s first time back at the Academy Awards in nearly a decade.

Last appearing in 2015, she wore a one-shoulder pink gown from Ralph & Russo that is actually currently up for auction for adoring fans to bid on.

Paltrow appeared earlier this year at the SAG Actor Awards 2026, where she wowed in a plunging sheer lace gown designed by Givenchy and accessorized with turquoise Belperron earrings from the 1930s.

Last month, she showed off her legs and midriff in a pink Prada set for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival that recalled her most famous red carpet look: the bubblegum-hued Ralph Lauren gown she wore to the 1999 Oscars.

Perhaps tonight’s look will go down in the history books, too.
