Hoda Kotb Reunites With Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie After ‘Today’ Exit

Hoda Kotb may have left the Today show, but she’s proving that her friendship with her former cohosts is here to stay.
Kotb, 60, shared a photo via Instagram with Jenna Bush Hager, 43, and Savannah Guthrie, 53, on Wednesday, January 22. The trio can be seen smiling at a restaurant in the image.
“I love Wednesdays!! @savannahguthrie @jennabhager. Also remember when you had that big goodbye party and now I am like…… HIIIIIIIIIIII!” Kotb wrote in the caption.
Bush Hager reposted the image to Instagram Stories, writing: “Love these babes.”
Guthrie also shared the image via Instagram Stories. She captioned it: “Reunion.”
The outing comes less than two weeks after Kotb’s last episode on the NBC morning show on January 10.
Following the star’s exit, Today With Hoda & Jenna relaunched as Today With Jenna & Friends. Bush Hager will host with a rotating selection of celebrity guests until Kotb’s replacement is selected.
“Whoever sits in this seat is going to have the easiest job in the world ‘cause they’re sitting next to you,” Kotb said in a September 2024 episode of Hoda & Jenna after announcing her plans to leave the show.
“I mean, the only thing they have to do is not laugh so hard they pee their pants. That’s it. They just have to hang on. You are this bright light, you always have been, and it’s your turn,” she added.
Bush Hager responded: “If I’m bright, it’s because I’m sitting in your glow.”
As for Kotb, the TV personality won’t be completely retiring from news. In an interview with Page Six published on January 9, Kotb revealed that she will serve as a special correspondent for Today and NBC and has signed a deal to cover the next two Olympics.
Kotb also shared plans to start a wellness app and company during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show on January 6.
“[It will] involve retreats and a podcast and all kinds of things that we can get together [and do] … It’s not like going to Mexico with your girls, which is fun, but something that when you leave, you’ll go like, ‘Oh my gosh, I feel transformed. I feel different,” Kotba said at the time.
“She’s going to earn way more than she did at the Today show,” a source exclusively shared in the latest issue of Us Weekly.
“Now that she’s not full-time at NBC, Hoda’s going to be working with brands and can be paid to endorse them. She also could make several hundred thousand dollars for speaking engagements on subjects like, ‘changing your life at 60,’” the source added.
