How Bravo is navigating Amanda Batula, West Wilson romance bombshell as ‘Summer House’ reunion plans are revealed
As “Summer House” stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s romance confirmation takes the internet by storm, Page Six is told Bravo is prioritizing the well-being of the cast while not making any rash production decisions.
“Everything is still very, very fresh, and the network’s priority right now is making sure the cast is OK,” a well-placed source told us Thursday.
Our insider assured us that “zero decisions” have been made with regard to the future of “Summer House,” its stars or the reality show’s forthcoming spinoff, “In the City.”
Our informant also insisted that there have been “no conversations” about cast members quitting or getting fired.
They added that Bravo honcho and reunion moderator Andy Cohen would address the scandal during the Season 10 reunion, which we’re told is still set to tape in mid-April.
Meanwhile, “In the City” — which stars Bautla and her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke — is still set to premiere in May.
“We’re all gathering information. The reunion’s coming up. … The reunion will tell all,” Cohen, 57, told street journalist Adam Glyn on Wednesday, adding that he “feel[s] for everybody” involved.
Glyn later caught up with Cooke, who lamented that he is “really worried” about his estranged wife getting “cyber-bullied” by outraged fans, even though he’s not “justifying” her actions.
The Loverboy founder, 43, added snarkily, “West seems to be the kind of guy playing multiple women at the same time.”
As Page Six exclusively reported, Wilson, 31, was allegedly in an “exclusive” relationship with at least one other woman when his secret romance with Batula, 34, was exposed on Tuesday.
Cooke — who announced his separation from Batula in January — explained to Glyn that the scandal “really does put into jeopardy what the show’s about,” arguing, “You can’t shoot ‘Summer House’ if the vibes are off. We’re not actors.”
While the entrepreneur would return for a potential Season 11 — especially as he “enter[s] this year single” — he feels the “real issue” at hand is whether the currently “pissed” and “disappointed” cast is able to be under the same roof.
Despite having “big issues” with Wilson, Cooke insisted he’d be willing to film with him.
As for Batula’s now-ex-best friend Ciara Miller — who previously dated Wilson — she’s reportedly “heartbroken” by the “betrayal” by both parties, particularly because she and Wilson were “seeing if things would work out again recently.”
