As the holidays approach, Kate Gosselin explained to her TikTok followers how she budgets for her eight kids‘ presents during “good” and “not-so-good” years financially.

The former reality star, 50, asks her adult children for wish lists in November so she can “take advantage of the holiday sales,” Gosselin said on Wednesday.

The ex-TLC personality is the mother of 25-year-old twins Madelyn and Cara, as well as 21-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Collin and Hannah, with ex-husband Jon Gosselin — and while she is estranged from the latter two, she did not specify whether she does or does not give them gifts.

Kate puts each list she receives from her kids, complete with “a link, size, color and price,” into a combined note on her phone.

The “Jon and Kate Plus 8” alum then goes through the first list to come up with an appropriate budget that she attempts to match for each of that child’s siblings.

If Kate “goes over” that number for anyone — which she quipped “often” happens with Leah — she bumps up her budget for every other kid.

She makes it “fair to the penny” on Christmas Day by providing a decorated box of cash, an idea Kate got from her mom, Charlene Kreider.

“I know that might sound silly, but to me, fair is really important,” Kate noted.

“Some will get $150 in their box if they don’t ask for much,” she explained. “It tends to work out really well and the kids are really happy.

“Sometimes not everybody gets a square box,” Kate continued. “That means I finished your list completely and unavoidably went other a dollar or two. That usually doesn’t happen.”

Additionally, she gifts the whole family with one joint gift for them all to enjoy.

She noted that Christmas “doesn’t last that long” as her little ones have gotten older and their tastes have gotten pricier — so she wraps everything, including their skincare and toiletry faves, to “slow them down.”

Kate’s social media upload comes three months after she admitted to being forced to return to work over her “sickening” financial downfall.

In comments below the candid August video, Kate shared the difficulties of “providing for eight kids.”

On top of college funds, she described being “drug [sic] into court constantly” during her divorce, which cost A TON.”

Kate added, “Sad bc my kids could have a lot more saved and I could have a retirement saved if it weren’t for lawyers.”

She and Jon called it quits in 2009 after 10 years of marriage, and Kate is now dating her former bodyguard Steve Neild.
