Inside Heather Locklear, Richie Sambora’s reunion at daughter Ava’s wedding

Heather Locklear and “emotional” Richie Sambora’s reunion at daughter Ava’s wedding over the weekend wasn’t awkward, according to a new report.

The former couple, who called it quits two decades ago, likely had not seen each other in years prior to the ceremony, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.

A wedding guest insisted to the outlet that the Bon Jovi member, 66, and his ex, 64, were amicable because Sambora has “always had [Locklear’s] back — not only when they were married but even as her ex.”

The insider noted the musician was “the one who hired the best physicians and medical team to get the help needed” during Locklear’s previous addiction struggles.

“He was the first person always to support her and stand by her … [and] make sure she’s OK,” the source added.

The exes, notably, wed in 1994 and welcomed Ava before announcing their separation in 2006. They finalized their divorce the following year.

When Ava and husband Tyler Farrar walked down the aisle in Montecito, California, Locklear looked “solid” and “beautiful” in a navy dress.

She attended with boyfriend Lorenzo Lamas, whom she started dating in late 2025 — and the couple sat in the same row as Sambora.

The wedding attendee noted, “Richie’s a cool cat and Lorenzo is a cool dude. Richie just wants Heather to be happy.”

Sambora brought his “inseparable dear friend” Orianthi as his own date to the nuptials.

He and the guitarist, 41, dated between 2014 and 2018 and are reportedly “rekindling” their romance.

“Every second she gets, she flies back [to the United States] and hangs out with him,” the source alleged.

Orianthi gushed over the newlyweds, who got engaged in February 2024, via Instagram on Sunday, writing, “The most beautiful wedding for the most beautiful couple !!! Love you.”

Sambora and Locklear linked up to walk the bride down the aisle together.

The Grammy winner told People in 2020 that they reached an amicable co-parenting dynamic after taking a 10-year “cooling-off period.”

After their divorce, Locklear was briefly engaged to her fellow “Melrose Place” alum Jack Wagner and dated former motocross racer Chris Heisser between 2020 and 2025.

The actress’ romance with Lamas, 68, first made headlines in April.
