Jared Leto accused of sexual assault, sex with a minor by multiple women in new documentary

Jared Leto has been accused of sexual misconduct by four women, who allege the acts took place when they were teenagers.

The allegations are detailed in the new BBC documentary, “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret,” and stem from alleged encounters with the Oscar winner between 2002 and 2016, when he was in his 30s and 40s, the BBC reported.

The four women, who were between the ages of 16 and 19 at the time of the alleged assaults, are identified in the documentary as “Isabel,” “Alex,” “Clara” and “Etta,” though those are not their real names.

“Isabel” alleged that the “Dallas Buyers Club” star, now 54, sexually assaulted her in a motel bathroom when she was 17 in 2002.

“Clara” alleged she had sex with Leto when she was 17 in California, where the age of consent is 18, in 2006.

She claimed Leto “shrugged off” a conversation about the state’s age of consent.

As for “Alex,” she claimed the “Suicide Squad” actor threatened her with sexual assault when she was 19 after she was unexpectedly left alone with him in a hotel room in 2013.

“Etta” further alleged Leto groomed her a year later, when she was 16, by making repeated sexually explicit phone calls and suggesting on at least one occasion that they should have sex.

Two years later, “Etta” claimed she had received a non-disclosure agreement intended to prevent her from discussing their relationship, but she refused to sign it. The BBC said it reviewed the document.

Four other women alleged they received unusual and often sexually explicit phone calls from Leto when they were younger.

Another woman, who was named “Taylor” in the doc, alleged Leto instructed a security guard to take her backstage at a music festival when she was 14 after making a sexual comment about her chest during an autograph signing. She claimed her mom confronted him, but he repeated the remark.

Page Six has reached out to Leto’s reps for comment.

“This was 25 years ago … he has gotten away with it,” one accuser said in the documentary.

The BBC said it corroborated a number of the women’s accounts through friends and family members they spoke to at the time, as well as photographs, messages and other supporting material.

The documentary also features two men who worked with Leto’s band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, for years. They claimed staff was uncomfortable with the actor’s interactions with teenage girls, alleging he sometimes invited them backstage to his dressing room or to the house where he was recording.

“I think everyone thought the age gap was way too big,” one former staffer claimed.

The allegations add to claims that have surfaced against Leto over the years. 

Last year, Los Angeles DJ Allie Teilz alleged on social media that Leto assaulted her when she was 17, prompting other women to come forward with similar claims.

Nine women accused Leto of sexual impropriety in an article published by Air Mail in June 2025. Leto denied those allegations.

Leto has been a prominent Hollywood actor since the 1990s, winning an Academy Award for “Dallas Buyers Club” in 2014 and most recently starring in “Masters of the Universe.”

He formed the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars in Los Angeles in 1998, and the group has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.
