Jenna Bush Hager shares offensive nickname her kids call her

Jenna Bush Hager’s kids have nicknamed her “Biggie.”

On Wednesday’s episode of “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle,” the news anchor said her three kids — Mila, 13, Poppy, 10, and Hal, 6 — “brought home a term” that she wished “they’d left at the old door.”

“They call me Biggie,” Hager told her co-host, Sheinelle Jones. “They’re like, ‘OK, Biggie!’ And I’m like, ‘Excuse me?’ They’re like, ‘Whatever, Biggie!’”

The “Sisters First” author, who shares her children with longtime husband Henry Chase Hager, said she urged their oldest to stop using the moniker after they started calling their dad the name.

“I’m like, ‘Mila, stop saying this. Hal’s gonna go to school and his teacher’s gonna be like, ‘Now, Hal, please turn in your homework.’ And he’s gonna be like, ‘No way, Biggie!’” Hager, 44, shared.

Jones — who shares three kids with her late husband, Uche Ojeh — was stunned by the term, saying, “I’ve never heard that. That hurts my feelings.”

Hager revealed that the term “Biggie” stems from “Big Back.”

“She has simplified it just to Biggie. Part of me at first found it to be … I like humor in words, so I was like, ‘Oh, that’s creative,’” she said.

“But I’m like, ‘Stop calling everybody Biggie. It’s gonna spread,’” Jenna added.

After hearing where the term derived from, Jones, 48, said it made the nickname “even worse.”

Last month, Jenna revealed on her talk show that her eldest daughter, Mila, banned her from her volleyball games after the TV host had one too many over-the-top moments on the sidelines.

“I got kicked out by my child,” Hager said, before clarifying, “Well, I didn’t get kicked out, like, removed immediately. I got put into a free zone.”

“The score was 6 to 7, and I go, ‘Six seven!’” she recalled. “And Mila looked at me like this…”

Hager mimicked her daughter’s icy glare, adding, “Afterwards, I was frozen out. I went to one volleyball game this year.”

The TV journalist said she hopes to be “unfrozen” to attend her daughter’s games next season.
