Kaley Cuoco Says a Stranger Walked Into Her Hotel Room While She Was Blow Drying Her Hair ‘Butt Naked’
Kaley Cuoco had her very own Naked and Afraid moment while doing her hair recently.
On Tuesday, Nov. 26, the Based on a True Story actress 38, appeared as a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she shared a “crazy” experience she had just before taping the episode.
“I had a very weird thing happen to me two hours ago,” Cuoco said right after being welcomed to the stage. “This is crazy.”
While in glam as she prepped for Late Night, Cuoco’s hair and makeup team suddenly triggered a memory, she revealed.
“The blow-dryer starts and I immediately got PTSD because I put this out of my mind,” Cuoco said. “I told my team, ‘You’re not gonna believe what just happened to me at the hotel two hours ago.’ ”
For Meyers, 50, forgetting something that happened only “two hours ago” piqued his interest.
“I said, ‘I can’t even think about this. I’m not gonna tell my family. I have to tell everyone what just happened,’ ” Cuoco said of her feelings once the hair dryer came on and she could no longer hold it in.
Cuoco said she was just about to get into her hotel shower “butt naked.”
“And I think, ‘Okay, I’m gonna start drying my hair a little bit.’ Butt naked in my bathroom, in my shower, in my hotel room,” she said. “So I’m really dramatically blow-drying my hair — it felt like I was in a commercial. And I look up. In the mirror, I see a man in my room.”
“What kind of a man?” a surprised Meyers asked.
“Well, he worked there,” she said of the equally stunned hotel employee who had begun to slowly back out of her room.
“He doesn’t run,” she continued. “It’s almost like when you see a bear and you don’t want to move.”
With both Cuoco and the uninvited individual stuck in their tracks, she finally made the first move: “And then I go, ‘Sir?’ ”
The man began apologizing as he left her room, and she could only hope that it was all an honest mixup, Cuoco said.

“He runs out and I’m just standing there with the blow-dryer on. What was that? Like, I think he worked at the hotel,” she said. “I hope!”
After Cuoco confessed that it was her first time sharing what happened, Meyers assured her that talk shows are a great place for explaining firsts.
“They do say the best place to do it is on talk shows — like to work through it,” he said.
Meyers joked that it would be hilarious if he orchestrated the entire scenario for a great TV moment.
“Wouldn’t it be terrible if I’m like, ‘We did know you were on tonight, so we sent somebody over. Kaley’s always so good when she’s on, you know? Let’s give her a story,’ ” he added.
“‘Let’s shake it up a little bit!’ ” Cuoco joked.
Based on a True Story season 2 is now available to stream on Peacock.
