Karl-Anthony Towns’ fiancée Jordyn Woods wasn’t happy with Knicks owner’s sex ban request
New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns’ fiancée, Jordyn Woods, wasn’t happy when the team’s owner jokingly issued a sex ban leading up to the NBA playoffs.
The NBA center opened up about how James Dolan’s recommendation for the team to take a 10-week break from sex in March affected him as a “happily engaged man.”
“I will definitely say, when I came home, and I told my fiancée what he said, she didn’t like to hear that one,” he shared on Tuesday’s episode of “The Howard Stern Show.”
Towns, 30, admitted that he didn’t take Dolan’s advice, adding, “I would say she’s very happy.”
Dolan’s lengthy speech to the Knicks went viral when it was released by players Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart on their “Roommates” podcast Monday.
“I had this idea that maybe you should give up sex for the next 10 weeks,” the businessman told the team.
“You don’t have to give up sex for the next 10 weeks, but like Spartans — do you know what Spartans are? They denied themselves so that they could have an edge. Get the edge.”
“Go home, talk to your wives,” Dolan said. “Don’t tell them you’re not going to have sex, and don’t tell them it was my idea.”
He continued: “But let them know what this is going to be like, what your commitment is going to be like, and how they’re going to have to sacrifice too.”
Additionally, Dolan pledged to pay for championship rings for the wives and partners of every Knicks player.
Woods, meanwhile, was front and center to support her fiancée at the NBA Finals games, leading up to the Knicks beating the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
The media personality, 28, also cheekily shared a photo of her Fleur du Mal’s blue-and-orange lingerie set, which she had personalized with Towns’ jersey number.
The couple got engaged in December 2025 on the top level of the Overstory in New York City after five years of dating.
On Stern’s podcast, Towns gushed over Woods, referring to her as “special,” saying, “There’s a reason why I’m marrying her.”
The athlete explained that he and Woods were friends two years before dating, and she supported him when his mother died due to complications of COVID-19 in 2021.
“I had to put a ring on it,” he said. “I couldn’t let her go anywhere else.”
