Kate Hudson has no regrets about her “whirlwind” marriage to Chris Robinson — despite its “downward spiral.”

The actress gushed to “Call Her Daddy” listeners Wednesday about her “first love,” whom she wed in December 2000 at age 21.

“I didn’t question it for a second,” the “Fool’s Gold” star, 45, said of the union. “We were so connected. And Chris taught me so much about love, connection. It was just a wonderfully passionate relationship.”

The former couple welcomed son Ryder, now 20, in January 2004 and split three years later.

Despite her divorce from the 57-year-old rocker, Hudson clarified that the relationship was “not a mistake” and felt “grounded and loving.”

She went on to defend her family unit, which includes son Bingham, 12, and daughter Rani, 5, with ex Matt Bellamy and fiancé Danny Fujikawa, respectively.

“I do believe that a unit can exist differently than this very religious concept of male-female relationship,” Hudson explained of their non-“traditional” dynamic.

“Just because you’re not supposed to be with someone doesn’t mean you can’t create a big, beautiful experience,” she noted. “I don’t know how I’ve been able to do it, but we just do it. All of us.”

The singer called her family “patchwork” in a People interview last week.

“We are very connected, and we are very close,” she gushed of her children’s fathers. “Love can change form. It’s interesting when you have that modern family; there’s so much love for all the kids.

“I think the thing that’s so unique about my life is that … we all have figured it out,” the Golden Globe winner continued. “The kids feel like they have this huge family.”

Hudson has given glimpses of her amicable co-parenting over the years.

In June 2022, the Oscar nominee reunited with Robinson for Ryder’s high school graduation.

Hudson has also showed support for Bellamy’s growing family on social media as the Muse frontman, 45, welcomed more children with wife Elle Evans.

The Fabletics co-creator got engaged to Fujikawa, 37, in 2021, telling podcast host Alex Cooper that she underwent an “empowering,” therapist-recommended year without men before they fell in love.
