Keith Urban Was All Smiles and Cozied Up to Nicole Kidman in Last Instagram Post Together Before Separation News

Months before it was revealed that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman separated, which PEOPLE confirmed on Monday, Sept. 29, the country singer celebrated an honor with the actress by his side.

The “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer last posted photos with the actress on Instagram after the ACM Awards in May. In the cover photo of the post, the two are seen smiling and cozied up next to one another in the back of a car as they left the event where Urban was honored with the Triple Crown Award.

Kidman, 58, appeared in another shot in which she and Urban, 57, are sitting next to Alan Jackson and his wife Denise at the awards show. (During his acceptance speech, Urban gave Kidman a sweet shout out.)

“TRIPLE CROWN !!! it was a surreal feeling and truly humbling honor to be recognized at the @acmawards last night, and a triple-sized, massive thank you to @megmoroney, @chrisstapleton, and @brothersosborne for your insanely inspired performances last night during the show. I LOVED every second of it !!!” he captioned the post.

A source confirmed the former couple’s split to PEOPLE on Monday, Sept. 29, saying, “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

“She didn’t want this,” the source added. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

Urban and Kidman tied the knot in June 2006 and share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. The Babygirl actress was previously married to Tom Cruise and they share two children together: Bella Kidman Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30.

While Urban’s last post of them was in May, Kidman marked their 19th wedding anniversary on Instagram in June. “Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself cuddled up to Urban. At the time, Urban commented with a red heart emoji.

The pair was last spotted together publicly days before the anniversary, when they attended the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis at GEODIS Park together on June 20 in Nashville.
