Kim Zolciak’s ex Kroy Biermann requests sole custody of kids

Kim Zolciak’s estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, has once again requested sole custody of the pair’s four minor children over the reality star’s alleged “mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities.”

Biermann, 40, asked a judge to amend the former couple’s joint custody arrangement, according to court documents obtained by TMZ on Monday.

The retired NFL linebacker claimed the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum, 47, has been out of the country for weeks, per the outlet.

He also reportedly argued that “the facts surrounding [Zolciak’s] misguided parenting of the children, lack thereof, and blatant mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities would be practically unbelievable to anyone not familiar with the circumstances.” 

Biermann went on to accuse his ex of committing “fraud and deceit” when they agreed upon their current joint custody arrangement and alleged that the Bravo star only utilized her parenting time once between Feb. 26 and March 29.

According to Biermann’s complaint, one of their kids was bitten by a dog when Zolciak was watching the children on March 9.

The former NFL star also alleged that Zolciak wasn’t following the terms of their agreed-upon therapy, according to TMZ.

Zolciak’s rep didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and Biermann first filed for divorce in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage.

Although the pair briefly reconciled, Biermann refiled in August 2023.

The exes share four children: son Kroy Jr., 14, son Kash, 13, and 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane. Biermann also adopted Zolciak’s two daughters from before their 2011 marriage: Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24.

Zolciak and Biermann’s messy split has been dragging on for over two years, and the pair signed a temporary custody agreement amid their ongoing custody battle early last month.

Biermann previously filed for sole custody of their kids in August 2025. He reportedly accused his ex of subjecting their children to “emotional and psychological abuse” in that filing, and claimed Zolciak repeatedly left them alone without “proper parental guidance.”

Although the estranged couple was still living together in their Georgia mansion after their 2023 split, they were forced to move out of the foreclosed property by US Marshals in April 2025.

Zolciak, meanwhile, has reportedly moved on with Atlanta-based entrepreneur Kyle Mowitz.

Shortly after the couple was first romantically linked in March 2025, Biermann reportedly reached out to Mowitz’s estranged wife, Jillian Green, to warn her that Zolciak would “financially … drain money from” Mowitz.
