Kristy Scott Reflects on ‘New Unexpected Chapter’ in Emotional Video Amid Desmond Scott Divorce

Influencer Kristy Scott is opening up about an “unexpected” phase of her life amid her divorce from Desmond Scott.

“First time grocery shopping with this new unexpected chapter,” Kristy, 30, said while pushing a cart at a supermarket in an Instagram video on Wednesday, January 28. “I’m literally shaking. I’m really nervous making this video, but also, my nervous system is like, shot, and it kind of has been for the past month.”

The social media personality explained she’s not in the right “headspace” to make her typical “funny, silly videos,” so she instead plans to share with fans “the raw, the real, the ugly.”

“I’m not gonna lie, I was a little excited to go grocery shopping for the first time, because I feel like I can just get like, anything I want, not that I couldn’t before, but it just feels a little different,” Kristy, who goes by Kristy Sarah online, continued.

Kristy also thanked fans for being a good “support system” for her.

“I don’t want to get emotional, but I kind of feel like this is going to force you guys to see like, a different side of me, because you’ll always see like, my chaotic, humorous side, and it’s just not in me to do that at this current moment in time,” she added. “I’m just like, figuring things out and trying to move forward.”

Kristy’s grocery shopping video marks her first candid post alluding to her split from Desmond, 32, since she filed the divorce paperwork in December 2025. In her filing, obtained by Us Weekly, Kristy claimed that her estranged husband of nearly 12 years “committed adultery.” She also stated that their marriage “has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities,” noting that his alleged infidelity “destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

Kristy, who shares sons Vance, 7, and Westin, 6, with Desmond, also revealed in the filing that she and her ex would enter a written agreement about custody, access and support regarding their kids. If they’re unable to agree on terms, Kristy requested that the court decide for them.

Additionally, the content creator requested to have her surname legally changed back to her maiden name, Small. She asked that Desmond be responsible for her attorney’s fees, court costs and expenses related to their divorce.

Kristy said in her video that there’s “not really any drama right now,” seemingly hinting at her divorce proceedings with Desmond.

“I think I’m just gonna take advantage of, like, learning who I am even more and what I like, and just like, diving into my hobbies more, doing the best I can for the boys,” she noted.

Desmond broke his silence on the divorce on January 10.

“I want to begin by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation,” he wrote via Instagram. “I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt it has caused. Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as I have always been.”

Desmond continued, “Kristy and I faced challenges and made sincere efforts to work through them. Toward the end of 2025, I wanted to separate, and I had conversations with Kristy regarding this. During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately, we decided to divorce. I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter of our lives.”
