Lala Kent details ‘nightmare’ co-parenting situation with ex Randall Emmett at BravoCon 2025
Lala Kent is still “numb” to her “nightmare” co-parenting situation with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett — despite it being nearly four years since they’ve split.
“It’s always a nightmare,” the reality TV star admitted to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” hosts, Evan Real and Danny Murphy, at BravoCon 2025.
“I’m kind of numb to it at this point,” she added of co-parenting 4-year-old daughter Ocean with her ex. “We still communicate through an app. We still are parallel parenting.”
“There are times where it’s good, but I don’t hang on to those because they go by like that,” Kent confessed.
“Every time I look at Sosa I’m like, ‘Best decision I ever made, girl,’” she quipped, referring to her second child, whom she welcomed last year and conceived via sperm donor.
Kent, 35, and Emmett, 54, welcomed Ocean in March 2021 while they were still in a relationship.
That October, Page Six exclusively revealed that the “Vanderpump Rules” alum had ended her three-year engagement with Emmett after the disgraced film producer allegedly cheated on her in Nashville.
By 2023, Emmett made headlines for being at the center of an alleged FBI investigation for “suspected child exploitation and pedophilia,” leading Kent to fight for full custody of their daughter.
The FBI told Page Six at the time that they could neither confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation into Emmett. He has adamantly denied those claims and was never criminally charged.
Last year, the reality star exclusively gave Page Six an update on how their “chaotic” custody battle was going.
“His side is just so chaotic and I don’t see resolution coming anytime soon,” she told us at Bravo’s Season 11 premiere event in Los Angeles. “I would like [its end] to come, but we’re still in it.”
Flash forward to March 2025, Kent revealed during an Amazon Live stream that she and Emmett finally settled their custody battle over Ocean.
“You guys, the custody battle is over. It’s officially ended,” she confirmed. “After over three years, we have signed an agreement that is best for our daughter, Ocean. So I’m very, very happy about that.”
The Bravolebrity admitted that the custody process “has weighed on [her] heart and soul” for so long.
“I’m sure it’s been the same for my ex, and I’m just so happy that we were able to get to a good place for the well-being of our kid.”
Page Six has reached out to Emmett’s rep for comment.
