Lisa Kudrow, 62, says she’s swearing off Botox

Lisa Kudrow didn’t try Botox until she was 60 years old — and now, at 62, she’s “probably done with it.”

“I think it contributed to my eye irritation and this weird pattern on my forehead,” the “Friends” favorite told the Hollywood Reporter in a new interview pegged to the highly anticipated third season of HBO’s “The Comeback.”

“I am scared of having to see myself looking like my grandmother one day, but I’m excited to play older roles.”

In speaking out against wrinkle-relaxing injectables, Kudrow joins fellow stars like Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Khloé Kardashian, all of whom say they’ve ever never tried Botox or have stopped using it.

Other celebs, like Amanda Seyfried and Candace Cameron Bure, swear the injections keep them feeling fresh and young.

And don’t expect Kudrow to go under the knife anytime soon; she spoke about her plastic surgery concerns in a 2024 episode of Dax Shepherd and Monica Padman’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, saying, “I don’t judge anyone for doing it. A lot of people look fantastic, but also I am afraid that if it doesn’t heal right, [I will] look older and altered.”

Though a parody, “The Comeback” is somewhat of a case of art imitating life — perhaps not for Kudrow specifically, but for other Hollywood stars who feel as though they are playing catchup later in their careers and throwing wet noodles at the wall in order to stay relevant.

This will be the final season of the HBO show, which premiered in 2005 to low ratings and was axed after Season 2, which aired in 2014. Since then, it’s built a cult following, leading network execs to reverse the series’ cancellation.

Season 2 earned Kudrow best actress nominations at both the Emmys and Critics’ Choice Awards.

“The most respectful thing we can do for the audience and for the character is make it a three-part story. It’s a trilogy, and this is the end,” Kudrow shared with THR.
