‘Love Island USA’ Star Huda Mustafa’s Boyfriend Louis Russell Claims Ex Won’t Let Him See His Son
Love Island USA alum Huda Mustafa‘s boyfriend, Louis Russell, is claiming his ex is allegedly preventing him from seeing his son.
Us Weekly can confirm that Russell, 25, filed paperwork on Wednesday, March 18, claiming that his ex-girlfriend Nicole Olivera has “unreasonably” cut off all contact between him and their son, Luka. Russell accused Olivera of using Luka “as a bargaining chip” and allegedly threatened to move out of state.
“I am seriously concerned that she will make good on this threat before she is served,” he claimed in the court documents. “I fear that she will move Luka, and I will have a hard time finding our son and being a part of his life.”
Russell alleged that Olivera has “threatened to move before and did so when we were in the U.K.” He subsequently filed for an emergency court order to give him joint legal custody and a concrete parenting and custody plan that would allow him time with his son.
“All I’ve ever wanted is to be a good dad,” Russell wrote via Instagram on Wednesday. “That’s who I am and that’s who I’ll always be.”
The Too Hot to Handle star’s legal filing comes after Olivera was granted a temporary restraining order against Mustafa, 25, after she alleged in legal filings that the reality star “was making threats” against her son.
A judge granted Olivera’s request for a temporary restraining order on March 12. The court order stated that Mustafa must stay “at least 100 yards” away from Olivera and her son at any home, school, workplace or childcare facility they visit. Her next court hearing is scheduled for April 3 in Los Angeles.
Mustafa, for her part, broke her silence on the legal drama.
“I’m aware of what’s being said and it’s not true,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 17. “I’m handling everything the right way by letting legal take care of it. I appreciate everyone who continues to support me.”
A source has since told Us that Mustafa “has never had any contact with Nicole, nor has she ever made any threats toward her or her child.” The insider claimed that Olivera “has gone out of her way to block Huda from having any interaction with the child.”
Mustafa rose to fame after appearing on season 7 of Love Island USA. She finished the season in third place with Chris Seeley, but the pair called it quits in the finale.
“Everyone has their opinions. I know exactly how I want it to be treated in a relationship and I’m not going to settle,” Mustafa exclusively told Us in July 2025 about their split. “Why would I try to put on a show and be a happy girl and whatever when I’m not happy in my couple?”
She continued: “I really didn’t care about winning. I really wanted to leave with my person. And if this isn’t my person, then I’m not leaving with you. I don’t care if it’s the finale, I’m not leaving and not being genuine about my connection.”
Russell, meanwhile, appeared on season 5 of Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle. He also starred in season 3 of Perfect Match, which dropped on Netflix in August 2025.
