Love Island USA’s Leah Slams Claim She’s Feuding With Huda: ‘I’m Not Even Watching Season 7’

Love Island USA’s Leah Kateb had an unfiltered reaction to fans spreading rumors that she’s feuding with season 7 star Huda Mustafa.

The speculation started when Leah, 25, unfollowed Huda, 24, on Instagram after her exit from the villa. Following her Thursday, July 17, appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Leah shared a clip via TikTok of her saying that “people need to actually bring back shame.”

The comments section took Leah’s post as potentially throwing shade, but she set the record straight about the nonexistent drama between her and Huda.

“Bruh omfg u would think I was on season 7 too! Like leave me alone! I have nothing to do it nor have I spoke on it. I’m not even watching! I don’t even follow love island,” she wrote in response. “I know nothing I’m literally so confused.”

Leah insisted she has “no beef” with anyone from the season 7 cast, adding, “I’m incredibly proud of everyone who has gone on Love Island bc it takes a lot to put yourself up on a chopping board like this. I wish them all well truly.”

One social media user accused Leah of “participating in the online bullying of a woman who is already getting heavily criticized,” which she also denied.

“Genuinely what are you talking about. I haven’t spoken about Love Island once. Im not watching it. I don’t know why you guys want to involve me so badly. Please leave me alone,” Leah fired back. “I have no idea what you guys are ever talking about. I have only said I wish everyone an amazing experience and I hope they all protect their energy. Leave me ALONE.”

Leah further clarified that she wants nothing to do with the drama by “liking” a comment about her decision to no longer keep track of Huda.

“PSA to anyone reaching over a simple unfollow: Leah has said she’s not even watching this season. She’s not involved in the drama, and she’s allowed to protect her space without needing to explain it to the internet,” read the fan’s reply. “She’s handled everything with nothing but grace, and those of us who have supported her from the beginning still do. Not everything is shade. Not everything needs a storyline. Let her live.”

Love Island USA viewers were introduced to Leah when she joined season 6 in 2024. She found love with Miguel Harichi on the show, and the pair are featured on Peacock’s Beyond the Villa spinoff.

From A-listers to Bachelor Nation and beyond, several celebrities were caught in conflict this year — and it wasn’t always pretty. 2024 was full of feuds in the reality TV realm, with Dancing With the Stars pro Sasha Farber, finding himself in the middle of Jenn Tran and Devin Strader’s breakup aftermath as Farber and […]

Huda, for her part, caught backlash after season 7 began airing in June. She initially found herself at odds with the audience over her off-and-on romance with Jeremiah Brown. After he was eliminated, Huda moved on with Chris Seeley. The couple made it to this month’s finale but ultimately called it quits.

“Everyone has their opinions. I know exactly how I want it to be treated in a relationship and I’m not going to settle,” Huda exclusively told Us Weekly. “I will never sit here and just accept [whatever] as he says shut up to me. That’s another thing, Chris would want me to shut up. I don’t like that.”

Huda defended her decision not to remain with Chris at least until production wrapped, saying, “Why would I try to put on a show and be a happy girl and whatever when I’m not happy in my couple? … I really didn’t care about winning. I really wanted to leave with my person. And if this isn’t my person then I’m not leaving with you. I don’t care if it’s the finale, I’m not leaving and not being genuine about my connection.”

Love Island USA is currently streaming on Peacock.
