Love Island favourites Will Young and Jessie Wynter have expressed their desire to start a family as they attended the 2024 BAFTA Awards.

Ever since their romance blossomed in the Love Island villa in 2023, the pair have been inseparable. Originally hailing from Down Under, Jessie quickly packed her bags to cohabit with Will and his family at their pastoral Buckinghamshire home.

They now hint at plans to secure a nest of their own. Jess shared: “We’re currently searching for a house because we are going to buy together. That’s what’s been taking our time up – it’s actually really hard to find a house”, reports OK!. Will chimed in to express their nesting goals: “Yeah we’ve got to get a house and then get ready for the baby,” he teased, placing a hand on Jessie’s midriff, before revealing hopes of soon becoming parents.

Clarifying her pre-parenting priorities, Jessie noted: “I said we’re not having a baby until we have a house, so he said ‘Let’s get on that’.” Reflecting on their shared future vision, Jessie confessed: “Of course we both want children. I’m turning 28 this year so we’ve got to get the ball rolling soon.”

At Sunday’s BAFTAs, held on 12 May, Jessie cut a striking figure in a fitted fiery red dress, with her locks sleekly pulled back into a chic ponytail. Dapper in a tuxedo, Will stood proudly beside her, the couple’s strong bond evident for all to see. Jessie recently spilled the beans about her relationship with Will, admitting she’d say “yes” in a heartbeat if he proposed.

Chatting with The Sun, Jessie gushed: “We definitely do speak about marriage, and getting engaged and everything a lot. I think if we could, we would be engaged right now. We’d be having a wedding, but at the moment, like we’ve just got so many other things to navigate at the moment. So that’s not the top of my priorities.”

She also let slip that her parents are heading down the aisle soon, as they’ve just got engaged, and she’s in charge of planning their big day. She playfully warned Will that he’ll get a preview of her wedding planner prowess before it’s their turn.

The Love Island star is excited about new adventures with Will, revealing their plans to explore life beyond the farm. She shared: “So after [Love Island] we spent a bit of time in Australia. Will bless him, he’s worked and lived on the farm his whole life. He went to Australia, and I showed him a bit of city life in Sydney, and he actually really liked it. So that’s kind of opened our eyes up too.”
