Madonna hinted at a feud with daughter Lourdes “Lola” Leon — that was allegedly healed through music.

“The song I wrote with my daughter, Lola. She approached me about writing a song together as a way to heal our relationship,” she cryptically told Interview Magazine of her eldest child in a new feature, published Monday.

“It was a really important moment, and it solidified the idea that now is the time to make this record.”

The pop icon and her daughter co-wrote a song titled “Good for the Soul” on her fifteenth studio album, “Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II.”

Madonna, 67, told the outlet that the new record was inspired by a lot of “family trauma” going on at the time.

“I had a lot of stuff going on in my life personally. My brother was very, very, very ill, and my stepmother, with whom I’d had a very traumatic relationship throughout my entire childhood, had just died,” she recalled.

Madonna’s brother Christopher Ciccone died in October 2024 following a long battle with cancer — just weeks after their stepmother’s passing.

“It’s hard for me to write a song about nothing,” Madonna continued. “I have to tell a story. So I wrote about a lot of family trauma, and then we started making dance music.”

Lourdes — whom the Grammy winner shares with ex Carlos Leon — has previously opened up about her strained relationship with her mom.

“My mom is such a control freak, and she has controlled me my whole life,” the 29-year-old told Interview Magazine in 2021. “I needed to be completely independent from her as soon as I graduated high school.”

The model also revealed that she paid for her own college tuition as a way to forge her independence.

“We don’t get any handouts in my family,” she insisted. “Obviously, I grew up with extreme privilege. There’s no denying that.”

Despite their ups and downs, Lourdes made sure to recognize how “influential and amazing” her mom was at the time — and how “empowering to other women and ahead of her time she has always been.”

“I didn’t fully comprehend that until I realized the importance of empowerment and what it means to be a woman,” Lourdes admitted.

“She’s probably the hardest worker I’ve ever seen. I didn’t inherit that, unfortunately. I inherited her control issues, but not her work ethic.”

In addition to Lourdes, Madonna is also mom to son Rocco Ritchie, 25, with ex-husband Guy Ritchie and four adopted kids: David Banda and Mercy James, both 20, and 13-year-old twins Estere and Stelle Ciccone.
