Mark Wright is reportedly seething as his ex Lauren Goodger makes a splash on her TOWIE comeback, spilling the beans about an intimate tattoo dedicated to him.
Lauren made her dramatic return to The Only Way Is Essex, a whole decade after becoming a household name on the hit ITVBe series. Her reappearance has been met with cheers from fans and fellow cast members alike, but reportedly not everyone’s thrilled notably her former flame, Mark.
Lauren, now 37, and fellow ex-TOWIE celeb Mark, also 37, were an item in their teens, with their on-off romance which ended in 2011. Both were pivotal figures on TOWIE right from its 2010 launch. In a recent episode broadcast on 7 April, Lauren opened up to Amy Childs about getting rid of a rather personal tattoo featuring Mark’s name post-breakup.
Amy reminisced: “I remember spray-tanning you and being like, ‘oh my god, she’s got “Mark” on her noonie’,” reports OK!. Curious, Amy probed: “Have you still got it? ” to which Lauren responded” “No. It’s gone. It had to go. How could I get with a new boy with that on my noon?”
Reflecting on her younger self’s decisions, Lauren later mused: “Why did I do that though? See things like that, I look back and think it’s so cute, but at the time, I was really serious about it.” Mark, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, is reportedly “fuming” with his ex Lauren for mentioning him” in interviews.
A source told The Sun: “Mark wishes Lauren would move on and stop mentioning him – he has moved on from Towie and doesn’t need her bringing up the past. He’s fuming about it but wishes her well.” Mirror contacted his representatives for comment.
Lauren, who began her TOWIE journey with Mark, is reportedly hoping her return to the show will prove she can be successful without the Wright family. “She feels like Mark and Michelle are everywhere at the moment following Michelle’s Netflix success,” a source said. “But Lauren wants to prove she can make it without him or his family and that she’s a star in her own right.”
