Meghan Markle and Prince Harry step out for a double date on anniversary weekend: report

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their successful Nigeria trip and six-year wedding anniversary with a night out on the town.

On Saturday, the day before their official anniversary, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted out to dinner in Montecito, Calif., with Paramount Pictures CEO Brian Robbins and his wife, Tracey, according to Tatler.

The group reportedly dined at Lucky’s, a local steakhouse that became one of Harry and Markle’s go-to spots after they relocated to the area in 2020.

Shortly after the pair put down roots in the US, they were seen on a double date with pals Katharine McPhee and David Foster at the upscale eatery.

The restaurant was likely recommended to the pair by their close friend and neighbor, Oprah Winfrey, who is also a loyal Lucky’s customer.

A photo snapped by an onlooker over the weekend shows the foursome deep in conversation while sharing a bottle of red wine. They also appeared to be joined by an unidentified man.

While it’s unclear when the Robbins and the Sussexes became friends, the foursome notably attended the premiere of “Bob Marley: One Love” in Jamaica together in January.

Tracy, a fashion designer, was also one of the first people to get her hands on the former “Suits” star’s new American Riviera Orchard strawberry jam last month.

It’s unknown if Harry and Markle also did something just the two of them to commemorate the special day.

The pair said “I do” on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in front of millions of viewers. However, the pair later revealed that they secretly exchanged vows a few days prior.

A source told People in 2022 that the twosome takes pride in giving each other meaningful anniversary gifts each year, often opting for “traditional” presents rather than lavish ones.

“The first anniversary was paper, and Meghan wrote out the wedding speech and had it framed for him,” the insider shared, noting that the second year “they both gave each other gifts based on ‘cotton.’”

The sixth year of marriage is usually marked with gifts of candy or iron.

However, in years past, we’re told they’ve typically chosen to keep their anniversary itinerary “simple” and spend the day with their two children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 2.

The downtime is likely needed after the pair’s whirlwind trip to Nigeria over Mother’s Day weekend to promote mental health for soldiers.

During the multi-day stay overseas, Markle — who is 43 percent Nigerian — and Harry attended a charity event, spent some time at a military hospital in Kaduna, participated in a panel discussion and spoke to students at Lightway Academy in Abuja.

“It was such warm hospitality and it was a really meaningful trip,” the mother of two told People last week.

“It was incredibly memorable and special. That alone is the best souvenir to take with us — all the memories we’ve made.”
