Meghan Markle picks polished white tweed for surprise trip to Jordan
Meghan Markle suited up for her latest trip to the Middle East.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, arrived in Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday wearing a head-to-toe Veronica Beard look for the start of a surprise two-day humanitarian trip with husband Prince Harry.
Markle chose a double-breasted, collarless tweed jacket ($998) ivory buttons and patch pockets. She styled it with a camisole and wide-leg pants ($498) in a coordinating shade of off-white.
She and Harry, 41, joined World Health Organization Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to spotlight humanitarian health efforts and mental health support in the region. The duke coordinated in khaki trousers, a white button-down and a dark blazer.
For the second stop of the day — a visit to the QuestScope Youth Center at the Za’atari Refugee Camp, the world’s largest camp for displaced Syrians — Markle swapped the polished tweed for something more practical.
She changed into khaki trousers, an olive green T-shirt and a brown leather belt, pulling her hair into a ponytail. The mom of two even kicked around a soccer ball during the visit, putting her Vince lace-up loafers ($295 $147.50) to work on the turf.
She also brought light layers for indoors: first adding a crisp white button-down and later changing to a Heidi Merrick blouse ($471).
The Jordan trip is the Sussexes’ first international humanitarian engagement in more than 18 months; they last traveled overseas together officially to Colombia in August 2024.
Since then, the couple has kept busy stateside — Markle wore a black Armani suit alongside Harry at the Project Healthy Minds Gala in New York in October, got dolled up in a custom Harbison Studio gown at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in LA earlier this month and sat courtside with the duke at the 2026 NBA All-Star Game.
