Michael Cohen goes from Trump trial to VIP haunts, sits near David Pecker at political power spot

After Michael Cohen wrapped his testimony on Tuesday in the hush money trial against his ex-boss Donald Trump, the former fixer headed to dinner — and was seated near another fixture in the case, the longtime publisher of the National Enquirer David Pecker.

Spies said that after Cohen’s court date — where he revealed he once stole $60,000 from Trump — Cohen met a pal for dinner at political power spot the Loews Regency on Park Avenue in NYC.

“Cohen sat down and he was two tables away from David Pecker,” a source told us.

Pecker testified at Trump’s trial last month about his “catch and kill” campaigns at the National Enquirer. In the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, Pecker alleged he worked with Cohen and Trump to buy damaging stories about the real estate mogul, only to spike them.

When Cohen spotted Pecker from his table, he apparently exclaimed, “Hello, David!” — and the former confidants “waved to each other.”

“It was the funniest f - - king thing on the planet,” said an amused insider. “They said hello and goodbye.”

Pecker has said he still considers Trump a friend, though he said they had not spoken since 2019, while Cohen is now one of the former president’s most bitter enemies.

After the Pecker run-in, Cohen headed to private club Casa Cipriani, where he got a warm welcome from the staff.

Spies said they saw Cohen, 57, hugging staffers, with one insider explaining, “He’s been friends with the Cipriani family for over 20 years. He knows the waitstaff.”

But not everyone was so thrilled to see the Trump foe, we hear.

One guest bristled at the sight of the Donald turncoat, telling us, “Several members [were] very upset to be in the same room with a convicted felon,” referring to Cohen’s 2018 prison sentence for campaign finance charges and lying to Congress.

“Several guests were furious and in disbelief” that after admitting to stealing money, he would be so splashy as to schmooze at an exclusive club, the insider huffed.
