Miley Cyrus reveals intimate proposal details after engagement to Maxx Morando

Newly engaged Miley Cyrus is sharing all the details on her intimate proposal from Maxx Morando.

During an interview with “Good Morning America” Wednesday, the “Flowers” singer revealed that the drummer got down on one knee during their recent trip to Asia.

“I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered,” Cyrus, 33, explained.

“And I’m telling you, I was so, so surprised,” Cyrus added.

The pop star then showed off her new 14-karat gold sparkler, saying Morando, 27, “did good.”

Cyrus’ new interview comes one day after Page Six exclusively broke the news that she and Morando were engaged after four years of dating.

The couple, who began dating in 2021, initially sparked engagement rumors when they walked the red carpet together for Monday’s world premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in Los Angeles.

The “Wrecking Ball” songstress had her new cushion-cut stone, which was created by jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche, on full display.

Deuxmoi reported that Cyrus was first pictured wearing the ring in mid-November.

In November 2021, the “Hannah Montana” alum soft-launched her romance with the Liily musician by including him in an Instagram carousel featuring photos from Gucci’s “Love Parade” fashion show.

The couple first met after being set up on a blind date.

The following year, Cyrus confirmed her relationship status with Morando when they were seen making out in Los Angeles. Then, in February 2024, People reported that the couple was living together.

“Everyone loves Maxx. He’s a great guy,” an insider told the outlet. “She is very happy with him. He’s private and doesn’t like being in the press. It’s been good for her.”

Cyrus was previously married to actor Liam Hemsworth from 2018 to 2020.
