Alec Baldwin can be seen slamming his car into a mailbox before smashing into a tree in newly obtained footage of his accident in the Hamptons on Monday.

In dashcam footage from a commercial truck obtained by Newsmax, the truck is seen exiting a parking lot and making a right turn. Moments later, Baldwin’s white Range Rover careens into a white mailbox and then a large tree on the right side of the truck.

The mailbox was obliterated and after the crash, Baldwin opens the driver’s side door.

In an Instagram video shared Monday evening, the actor claimed a truck “the size of a whale” cut him off, causing him to swerve into a tree. Baldwin also shared that he was with his brother Stephen Baldwin, whom he attended the Hamptons International Film Festival with, and he was driving his wife Hilaria’s car.

“This guy cut me off. A big garbage truck … a garbage truck the size of a whale. It was the biggest garbage truck I’d ever seen,” he said. “To avoid hitting him, I hit a tree. I hit a big fat tree and crushed my wife’s car.”

“I crushed my wife’s car and I feel bad about that,” he added. “But it’s all fine and I’m fine and my brother’s fine.”

Hilaria also reassured fans her husband and brother-in-law were okay in an Instagram video she posted Monday.

“No one was hurt and that is the most important thing,” she said.

Cops confirmed they responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 27, Pantigo Road near Cross Highway, at approximately 12:01 p.m. ET on Monday.

“A white 2023 Range Rover, operated by Alec Baldwin, with passenger Stephen Baldwin, was found to have struck a tree on the Eastbound shoulder of the roadway while avoiding the turning action of a 2020 Mack commercial truck, registered to National Waste Services out of Bay Shore, NY,” East Hampton Town Police Department Chief Michael D. Sarlo said in a statement.

“There were no injuries reported or summons issued and the contributing factors to the accident were found to be a reaction to an uninvolved vehicle and the slippery and wet roadway conditions.”

Hilaria’s car sustained severe damage in photos exclusively obtained by Page Six of the crash. The Range Rover’s front end was crumpled due to the impact of the crash.

The large blue National Waste Services truck was also photographed at the scene.

Alec, appearing somber, spoke to a police officer in the photos and made a phone call on his cellphone.
