Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber support daughter Kai Schreiber at NYFW

Exes Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber wrapped up New York Fashion Week together on Tuesday, sitting front row at Thom Browne’s spring 2027 show in support of their 17-year-old daughter, Kai Schreiber.

The “Ray Donovan” actor looked dapper in a corduroy suit while Watts wore a sweater vest over a button-down and tie, paired with matching shorts.

Kai, meanwhile, looked incredible in one of the designers butterfly-themed looks and dramatic pastel makeup.

The joint appearance capped off a proud-parent-packed New York Fashion Week. Both actors also turned out Sept. 11 at the Rainbow Room for Kai’s Breakthrough Model of the Year win at the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards.

In her acceptance speech, the teen model thanked those who had “so graciously welcomed [her] into this beautiful world of fashion.”

The 17-year-old also made history as the first trans girl to receive the accolade. “I carry that with me into every room,” she said of the honor.

Kai used the moment to thank her famous parents “for their unconditional support and devotion to making me happy and making my dreams come true,” adding, “I’m so lucky to be supported by you.”

For the ceremony, she wore a lime green Valentino mini dress with a jeweled neckline, styling it with white Valentino Garavani Rockstud pumps, sheer black floral tights and an Aquazzura Tequila clutch.

Watts, 57, coordinated in the Italian house, arriving in a sandy pink Valentino pleated top with jeans and teal Rockstud pumps. Schreiber, 58, was seen planting a kiss on Kai’s cheek during the fête.

Watts followed up with a doting Instagram tribute to her “sweet, darling Kai.”

“Your extraordinary love of fashion has brought you not only incredible creativity, but also the most beautiful community of people who see you, embrace you, and celebrate exactly who you are,” the “Love Story” actress wrote. “So proud of you, my darling. ❤️🏳️‍⚧️”

The former couple, who called it quits in 2016 after 11 years together, have made a habit of stepping out side by side for their kids. They also share 19-year-old son Sasha Schreiber.

Both actors have since remarried. Watts wed Billy Crudup in 2023, while Schreiber tied the knot with former pageant queen Taylor Neisen that same year.

Kai has been booked and busy on the runway since her March 2025 debut at Alessandro Michele’s fall 2025 Valentino show during Paris Fashion Week. She’s since walked for Jean Paul Gaultier, Fendi, Celine and Jason Wu, whose spring 2026 show she opened at NYFW last September.

The teen is also currently starring in her first joint campaign with mom Watts, for Simkhai’s fall 2026 collection.

Dad Schreiber has long been vocal about championing his daughter’s identity, telling Variety last year that “Kai was always who Kai is.”

“It’s important that she goes, ‘Hey, I am trans,’ and, ‘Look at me,’” he said. “Kai is such a fighter.”
