NASA wants Kim Kardashian to know the 1969 moon landing did happen, despite her doubts.
On Thursday, Oct. 30, NASA Acting Administrator Sean Duffy assured the 45-year-old billionaire that astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin did make history as the first and second people, respectively, to walk on the moon on July 20, 1969.
“Yes, @KimKardashian, we’ve been to the Moon before… 6 times!” Duffy, 54, wrote on X.
His post accompanied a clip of Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians, where the SKIMS mogul was on set shooting Ryan Murphy’s upcoming drama series, All’s Fair.
In the scene, Kardashian expressed doubts about the historic event with her costar Sarah Paulson.
“I’m sending you, like so far, a million articles — interviews — with both Buzz Aldrin and… the other one,” Kardashian tells Paulson, 50, in between takes of the Hulu series, referring to the late Armstrong.
As they both had their glam done, Kardashian read a note to Paulson from her cellphone.
“This girl says, ‘What was the scariest moment?’ And [Aldrin] goes, ‘There was no scary moment, cause it didn’t happen. It could’ve been scary, but it wasn’t, ’cause it didn’t happen.’ ”
Kardashian told the Ratched actress that because Aldrin, 95, had “gotten old” he’s started making comments that have caused her to question facts about the Apollo 11 mission. “So I think it didn’t happen,” she added.
Paulson did not agree or disagree with her Kardashian, instead saying she would, at some point, go on “a serious deep dive” about the topic.
The clip ended with Kardashian saying that she sends Paulson “conspiracies all the time.”
Once her scene with Paulson was finished and the reality star was back in her trailer, she continued talking to one of the show’s producers about the subject. “I don’t think we did. I think it was fake,” she said.
She said that Aldrin “says it all the time now, in interviews.”
Duffy continued to share NASA’s achievements Thursday, adding in his tweet: “And even better: @NASAArtemis is going back under the leadership of @POTUS. We won the last space race and we will win this one too.”
A rep for Kardashian did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

In the episode, Kardashian made it clear that she didn’t care what others had to say about her theory.
“They’re gonna say I’m crazy no matter what. But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself,” she said.
New episodes of The Kardashians are available on Thursdays on Hulu.
