Northern Exposure Star Diane Delano Dies at 67
Diane Delano, best known for her role in Northern Lights, has died. She was 67.
Her agent, Dennis Sevier, confirmed to PEOPLE that Delano died at her home in Los Angeles on Friday, Dec. 13 after a brief illness. Her official cause of death has yet to be released.
“When Diane entered any room you knew she was there! She was full of life and loved being an actor. She will be missed,” Sevier shared of the late actress in a statement.
Delano became a household name while playing Officer Barbara Semanski on Northern Exposure, which ran for six seasons from 1990 to 1995 on CBS.
Her other notable film and television roles included The Wicker Man, Popular, Days of Our Lives, St. Elsewhere, L.A. Law and Perfect Strangers.
She also lent her voice for animated shows like Teen Titans and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

The actress won an Indie Series Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the made-for-TV movie, Fumbling Through Pieces. She was also awarded the Best Ensemble Prize for her work in Relish at the Los Angeles Film Awards in 2019.
Delano’s last role was in the bluegrass musical comedy Paradise: A Town of Sinners and Saints, which was released in May.
