‘One Tree Hill’ Cast’s Dating Histories Through the Years: Chad Michael Murray and More Stars

The One Tree Hill characters were in countless love triangles and even got married in high school — and in real life, things weren’t always so magical.
When the series first debuted on The WB in 2003 (later airing on The CW), Sophia Bush began dating costar Chad Michael Murray. On screen, their characters, Brooke Davis and Lucas Scott, entered a relationship as well.
Murray proposed in 2004, and they married in April 2005. The duo split five months and despite their messy breakup, they continued working alongside each other until his exit in 2009.
Other stars of the drama found love outside the show, including Hilarie Burton Morgan, who wed Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Stephen Colletti, who married Alex Weaver in 2025.
