Paul Skenes Stops on Red Carpet to Help Livvy Dunne Fix a Mini Wardrobe Malfunction

Paul Skenes is giving a simple lesson in how to be the perfect boyfriend.

On Tuesday, July 15, the 23-year-old Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher came to the rescue when his girlfriend, Olivia “Livvy” Dunne, had a mini wardrobe malfunction as the couple walked the red carpet for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game in Atlanta.

As the former LSU Tigers gymnast, 22, wowed in a backless blue halter dress, one of her strappy white heels became undone. 

MLB cameras caught the moment when Skenes stopped what he was doing to make sure she avoided any injuries or discomfort. 

“Gentleman Paul Skenes on the Red Carpet with Livvy Dunne,” the organization tweeted, adding an emoji of a man dressed in a tuxedo, along with footage of his chivalry.

The pair also attended the July 2024 MLB All-Star game in Arlington, Texas, where she and the baseball pro made his All-Star Game debut.

Dunne and Skenes went public with their relationship in August 2023. They originally sparked dating rumors when she was spotted wearing his jersey at the College World Series in June 2023.

Last month, the Sports Illustrated model spoke with PEOPLE exclusively at the 2025 Fanatics Fest about their one relationship rule they both follow and how they make things work with their busy schedules.

“We don’t restrict each other from doing things,” Dunne told PEOPLE, explaining, “I’ve been in relationships in the past like that — where it’s almost like you have a leash on you, you can’t do anything.”

“But he has a job to do and I have a job to do — I know that’s so important for two young kids in a relationship to realize,” she continued. “So yeah, we just have a good time and it’s a two-way road.”

The influencer added, “I’m trying to go to as many baseball games as I can. I really just enjoy watching him and he’s always on the go. He’s an athlete, so I get it. I get the grind.”

Dunne has also opened up on how her personality differs from her boyfriend’s. 

“I feel like we’re like yin and yang,” the former artistic gymnast told PEOPLE exclusively in October 2024.

“I love doing social media and I enjoy being in the spotlight,” she said, adding that Skenes “doesn’t even have social media on his phone. He doesn’t like social media at all.”

“We’re just very opposite and I feel like it really works,” Dunne said, adding, “I think that we play off of one another and make each other better. Paul definitely holds me accountable, which I really appreciate.”
