Prince Harry, Timothée Chalamet, more celebs celebrate Knicks win against Spurs
A-list celebs celebrated after the Knicks clinched an NBA championship on Saturday with a Game 5 win against the Spurs.
Prince Harry, Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan, Sydney Sweeney and more stars were in the crowd as the Knicks put away the Spurs 94 to 90 to clinch their first championship since 1973.
Chalamet, a NYC native and longtime Knicks fan, celebrated on the court with star center Karl-Anthony Towns shortly after the final whistle blew.
“Way rather this than the Oscars, c’mon baby,” the actor, who has been nominated for four Academy Awards, said post-game. “Knicks are champions, baby!”
Cardi B, another native New Yorker, recorded herself watching the game and screaming in elation when the Knicks won.
The massive victory in San Antonio comes after a nail biter on Wednesday — the Knicks came from behind with a stunning comeback victory, securing a win of 107-106.
Taylor Swift, 36 — who stayed in NYC with fiancé Travis Kelce for Game 5 — attended Game 4 and was spotted shouting with pal Mariska Hargitay after the jaw-dropping victory, which the “Law & Order: SVU” star later called “the greatest night of [her] life.”
“I love my husband, and our wedding night was great and all, but I think it might have been the greatest night of my life,” the actress, 62, told the Hollywood Reporter earlier this week.
The longtime Knicks superfan detailed Game 4’s defining moments in a statement to the outlet, calling it “brutal.”
“The game was so brutal, down 29 at the half, but I’m telling you, to watch this team fight and claw their way back — to see that look in Jalen [Brunson’s] eyes — there are just endless life lessons in there,” Hargitay wrote.
“And then OG [Anunoby] comes flying in, his orange and blue cape fluttering behind him, and then it’s just pandemonium.”
Hargitay told the outlet that the moment will undoubtedly “get replayed again and again, not just as an epic moment in basketball, but on the highlight reel of the best moments in sports.”
Brunson, meanwhile, revealed he specifically looks for Hargitay on the sidelines at each game. “Love her to death [and] she knows it,” he said during the “Richard Jefferson Show,” calling her his “No. 1.”
Swift and Hargitay were joined at MSG by A-listers including Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun, Tate McRae, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor and more.
Alana and Este Haim joined Swift and Hargitay courtside in matching custom punny shirts in support of the team.
Bryan Greenberg and his wife, Jamie Chung, watched the victory from a box at Madison Square Garden with Keke Palmer, Finneas, Tracee Ellis Ross and Nina Dobrev, as well.
Meanwhile, stars including Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey, “Harry Potter” star Tom Felton, Nick Jonas and more tuned in from various locations — including living rooms — to share in the joy.
