Prince Harry’s reunion with royal family could happen sooner than expected

Prince Harry could soon reunite with the royal family after a victory in his long-running battle for security when visiting the UK.

Ravec, the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, launched a new risk assessment and has determined that Harry meets the threshold for official protection.

King Charles’ youngest son appeared for a two-day hearing last May, with his lawyer claiming his life was in danger without police protection.

Harry, 41, initially lost his court case against Ravec after the committee ruled he was no longer eligible for police protection because he was not a working member of the royal family.

After initially losing the case, Harry was described as “devastated” and blamed the Royal Household for influencing the decision.

In September, the Invictus founder wrote to Home Secretary’s Shabana Mahmood after a stalker was able to get within a “stone’s throw” of the Duke during a recent visit to London, per The Independent.

The stalker, who had previously made online threats, breached a “secure zone” during Harry’s visit to the children’s charity WellChild in September.

The incident happened after he had been granted police protection for the day.

Two days later, when Harry was visiting the Imperial College London, the stalker attempted to approach him and was reportedly thwarted by a member of his private security team.

These disturbing events are what prompted Ravec to launch the new risk assessment.

The royal has long argued that he and his family — wife Meghan Markle, 44, and their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 — are not safe in the UK without police protection because of relentless attacks online and constant news media coverage.

The couple resigned from senior royal duties in January 2020 and now reside in California.

They have experienced some upheaval lately, as James Holt, their longest-serving staffer, is leaving their charity, Archewell.

The duo also lost their publicist Meredith Maines after less than a year of employment.
