Savannah Chrisley Reveals She Got Liposuction After Health Struggles Led to 40-Lb Weight Gain

Savannah Chrisley revealed that she got liposuction after dealing with health issues.
“I was going through all kinds of s*** with my endometriosis and I had taken this medication, and I gained 40 pounds, literally, in three months,” Chrisley, 27, shared during the Tuesday, July 15, episode of her “Unlocked” podcast. “It was crazy.”
The reality star was set to do a photo shoot and “hated” how she looked. After speaking with plastic surgeon Dr. Charlie Galanis — who was Chrisley’s guest on this week’s podcast — the two decided she should get liposuction. (Chrisley went public with her endometriosis diagnosis in 2020, detailing multiple surgeries she had at the time.)
“It happened fast,” she recalled. “It was a while ago. It was around Christmastime.”
Chrisley explained that she had a virtual consultation with Dr. Galanis and was in Beverly Hills about a week later for the surgery.
“I felt like s***. I didn’t like how I looked,” Chrisley explained. “If you don’t like how you look, it doesn’t just take a toll on you physically, but emotionally and mentally.”
Not only did Chrisley see a difference in her body after getting liposuction, but it changed her whole mindset. (Elsewhere in the episode, Chrisley also confirmed that she got a nose job, but with a different surgeon.)
“It made me want to live a healthier life,” she continued. “When I saw the results, I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I want to keep this up.’”
The podcast host saw results six weeks after the surgery — and thinking she looked “like a totally different human being.”
Chrisley said that she never had any plans to reveal her liposuction publicly, even Dr. Galanis was surprised by her candor.
“I’m surprised you’re bringing this up. We never talked about this publicly before. I didn’t know you were going to talk about it,” he said. Chrisley replied, “Neither did I.”
Chrisley further explained that “the stigma” around plastic surgery is what initially stopped her from sharing details about the liposuction.
“I was going through all of my health stuff. Gaining weight, I was working out, eating right, nothing was working,” she continued. “That’s the thing, being on TV and having to do a campaign shoot for a product. I’m like, I can’t show up looking the way that I look. To me, it didn’t fit the brand. I didn’t feel good. I needed a quick fix, but the judgment that goes along with it.”
