Savannah Guthrie shares heartfelt message as search for missing mom Nancy reaches 1-month mark
Savannah Guthrie shared another emotional message for the safe return of her mom, Nancy Guthrie, one month after the latter’s disappearance.
“We feel the love and prayers from our neighbors, from the Tucson community and from around the country 💛,” the “Today” show host wrote via Instagram Monday.
“Please don’t stop praying and hoping with us. Bring her home.”
Savannah, 54, posted the message alongside a photo of the memorial set up outside of Nancy’s Arizona home.
The TV personality was photographed with her sister, Annie, and brother-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, at the matriarch’s estate earlier in the day.
The trio locked arms as they approached the memorial, carrying yellow flowers.
They placed their flowers down before holding eachother tightly while standing in front of a sign that read, “Dear Guthrie family, your neighbors stand with you.”
Other handmade signs read, “Bring Nancy Home” and “Please come home.”
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department surrounded Savannah, Annie and Cioni during their emotional outing.
Savannah’s appearance at the property comes as the investigation into Nancy’s disappearance reached the 30-day mark.
The 84-year-old was reported as a missing person on Feb. 1 after she was apparently taken from her home in the middle of the night.
Savannah has used her social media platform to post several heartbreaking videos, begging the perpetrator to “do the right thing.”
The journalist claimed in her most recent video last week that she and her loved ones have accepted that Nancy may “already be gone.”
“She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in Heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother, Pierce, and with our daddy,” she said
Additionally, Savannah offered a $1 million reward for information leading to her mom.
Investigators have yet to track down the suspect, despite several news outlets receiving ransom notes demanding $6 million in bitcoin. The deadlines have since passed.
The FBI has also been involved with the case, releasing front door surveillance footage of a masked suspect with a weapon disarming Nancy’s camera the day she went missing.
