Scooter Braun takes scathing jab at former client Kanye West over antisemitic remarks

Scooter Braun took a scathing dig at his former client Kanye West over the latter’s controversial antisemitic remarks.
“I don’t know him anymore,” the Jewish businessman shared on an episode of “Question Everything” with Danielle Robay on Thursday.
“I think the person that I knew wasn’t someone who says those things,” he added. “I think sometimes the hardest thing to do about someone you care about is mourn them while they are still here.”
“For me, the person that I knew is not the person that I’m seeing, so I don’t have a relationship [with him] anymore,” Braun, 44, added.
When asked if West, 48, could “be reached,” the music executive responded, “I don’t know.”
“I don’t know him and I think right now, I have three beautiful kids that need a dad to focus on them and make sure they’re prepared and strong in this world and that’s going to be my focus,” he said, referring to his kids — Jagger, 9, Levi, 7, and Hart, 5 — whom he shares with his ex-wife, Yael Cohen.
“I’d rather stand proudly with who I am and who my people are and be gracious and kind to all people than be a part of that,” Braun continued.
The entrepreneur explained that he doesn’t have any “ill will” toward the “Gold Digger” rapper and “no interest in turning into the monster that people” with antisemitic views expect.
“I’d rather be someone who’s focused on positivity and being damn proud of who I am and who my grandparents were,” he continued.
Reps for West weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Braun, who famously worked with Taylor Swift, added that he has no regrets managing those he’s represented, saying, “I love my life.”
Braun, who retired last year, and West briefly worked together from 2016 to 2018. Four years after their work relationship ended, the “Bound 2” emcee went on an antisemitic tirade on social media in 2022.
At the time, the Grammy winner was dropped from several of his brand deals, including with Balenciaga and Adidas.
Though West has apologized numerous times for his outbursts, he has notoriously continued spewing his hate speech online.
The “Heartless” rapper, however, has been radio silent on his hateful views since issuing his latest apology in May.
“I am done with antisemitism,” he wrote via X. “I love all people … God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused.”
