NEED TO KNOW
- Amanda Murrow once dressed as Mr. Moseby from The Suite Life of Zach and Cody for Halloween
- Years later, she shared a set with Phill Lewis for the Scrubs reboot
- Murrow shared her rendition of Mr. Moseby’s dance moves with the actor in a video shared on the Scrubs Instagram account
One actress is already impressing her costar before their show airs.
Amanda Murrow, who will star as Dashana on the reboot of Scrubs, previously dressed up as Mr. Moseby from The Suite Life of Zach and Cody for Halloween. Donning a bald cap and a tan suit, she posted her Halloween roundup of her impersonation, including a friend who dressed as London Tipton (played by Brenda Song).
What Murrow didn’t know at the time was that she’d eventually be working alongside Mr. Moseby himself.
Phill Lewis is set to return to his Scrubs role as Hooch in the reboot. But before these two actors share the screen together, Murrow decided to share her Halloween costume with Lewis himself.
In a video shared on the official Scrubs Instagram account, Murrow shows Lewis the video of her doing his combination of dance moves from the episode “Loosely Ballroom,” where the residents and employees of the Tipton Hotel get recruited into a ballroom competition. The number includes moves like the “Shorty George,” “fishtail,” “crazy legs” and a whole lot of shimmying.
“So one year for Halloween I dressed up as Mr. Moseby,” Murrow tells Lewis in the video, showing a side-by-side of her costume and Lewis from the Disney Channel show. “And I thought you might like this.”
After seeing her version of Mr. Moseby’s ballroom dance, Lewis laughs and compliments her on the mimicry.
“Dude!” Lewis exclaimed. “Wow! That is amazing! How did you know? That is fantastic!”
“I grew up with you,” Murrow replied, referring to his time on The Suite Life.

The pair end the video by reminding viewers that there’s “no running in my lobby.”
“It was an honor to embody Marion Moseby,” Murrow commented on the video, while Lewis added, “Fantastic performance. No notes!”
The reboot of Scrubs is set to return to ABC on Feb. 26.
