Spice Girls singer Mel C marries Chris Dingwall
Spice Girls singer Melanie Chisholm has reportedly tied the knot with model Chris Dingwall in a romantic countryside wedding.
Fellow Spice Girls Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell-Horner and Melanie Brown joined Mel C — also known as Sporty Spice — for the occasion, according to the Daily Mail.
Her 17-year-old daughter, Scarlett, from a previous relationship with Thomas Starr, was reportedly the singer’s bridesmaid.
Per the outlet, Chisholm donned a full-length white, backless gown — designed by Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice — and carried a wildflower bouquet while exchanging vows with Dingwall at the Country House Cumbria in the Lake District on Saturday.
“It was a gift from Victoria, they are really close,” a source told the Mail on Sunday of Beckham, who reportedly could not attend due to her presence at the World Cup in the US. “Victoria would have loved to have been there if she could.”
An insider close to the fashion designer told the outlet that it was her “great pleasure” to make the dress for her former bandmate.
“She was sad she couldn’t be there because she’s in the US with David and of course the World Cup plans had been set for a long time,” they added. “But she was wishing her all the best from afar for Mel’s special day.”
Guests reportedly called the weekend ceremony “perfect” — despite a herd of cows reportedly running toward the venue as the couple stood at the altar at the “intimate” celebration.
“Mel and Chris wanted an understated wedding, she didn’t want a big flashy day but something smaller and very classy,” a source explained, adding that the songstress “swore she would never get married having a big do wasn’t really for her.”
They added that the outdoor setting was “the perfect venue for them, totally out of the way but in the most beautiful place and everyone had the most fantastic time.”
“Victoria couldn’t be there but she loves Mel, and she will have made sure that she sent a beautiful present,” they divulged.
A rep for Chisholm did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Saturday.
Chisholm, 52, and Dingwall — who is said to be in his 40s — first met back in 2023 on the high-profile Raya dating app.
Of meeting him, Chisholm said during a November 2025 appearance on the “Life Uncut” podcast, “I thought, ‘Well, he’s really cute. This is worth pursuing.’”
“He’s one of those people that just doesn’t get all up in your business, you know? He’s quietly in the sidelines being uber supportive,” she said at the time. “And he’s wonderful.”
