Taylor Swift sings ‘Love Story’ duet with Lainey Wilson in surprise performance at Travis Kelce’s TEU concert
She’s done it again.
Taylor Swift showed up to Travis Kelce’s Tight End University concert at Nashville’s The Pinnacle Tuesday night to deliver a surprise performance of her 2008 hit “Love Story.”
Toward the end of Lainey Wilson’s set during the Tight Ends & Friends show, the country star told the crowd, “I don’t think y’all are ready for what’s about to happen.”
Wilson — who recalled first seeing this “really, really special” artist perform at the age of 16 — marveled that it’s been “so cool” to see what she’s accomplished since then.
“She is just as kind as she is talented. Y’all, welcome to the stage my friend Taylor Swift,” Wilson said, prompting the audience to erupt in screams.
In an asymmetrical black dress with a ruffled silver hem, Swift took the stage and asked the band, “Do you wanna do ‘Love Story’?”
She quipped that the song was a “special request by a very special tight end” before naming San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, who co-founded TEU alongside Kelce and retired player Greg Olsen in 2021.
Swift sang the first verse, Wilson took the second and they belted out the chorus together.
When it came to the track’s iconic bridge, the 14-time Grammy winner made sure to flash her engagement ring from Kelce when she got to the lyric, “He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring.”
The crowd went berserk, and some audience members even cried.
The concert — which was presented by Reese’s — also featured performances by Dan + Shay, Chase Rice, Hardy and others.
TEU, an annual offseason summit for NFL tight ends, kicked off Monday night with a welcome party at The Twelve Thirty Club.
Swift, 36, wore a floral yellow minidress and matching strappy heels to the event, where she posed for a picture with Kelce, also 36, and his co-founders.
When Swift made an appearance at her first Tight Ends & Friends concert in June 2025, she shocked fans by taking the stage fresh off her Eras Tour.
It was the musician’s first performance since buying back her master recordings the previous month.
She had help from Kane Brown, belting out “Shake It Off” with him while playing Rice’s guitar.
Before the duet began, Swift told fans, “We were up there, having some drinks and we were thinking, ‘How loud can this place get? Theoretically, how loud can the singing be in here?’”
“We planned that three minutes ago,” she clarified of the impromptu performance, which was dedicated to her “favorite players.”
At the time, Swift had been dating Kelce for just shy of two years.
Kelce proposed later that summer, and the duo are now gearing up for their July wedding, which we hear will take place in Madison Square Garden.
As the pair count down to their nuptials, they embarked on bachelor and bachelorette parties with their loved ones over the weekend.
Swift was spotted with her pals in Rhode Island, while Kelce and his friends made headlines for enjoying a Chris Lake concert and San Diego NASCAR race.
