Taylor Swift’s Grammy Museum interview dress sure looks like an Easter egg

The rerecorded version of Taylor Swift’s debut album could be coming soon.

On Monday, the Grammy Museum shared the full footage from “The Icon Sessions with Taylor Swift: A 20-Year Retrospective,” an intimate event hosted by the Recording Academy’s Songwriters & Composers Wing on Aug. 18.

And for the nearly hourlong session — which included both a songwriting discussion with Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and an acoustic performance — Swift selected a look that harkened back to her mid-2000s country beginnings.

With its “green jasper” hue, romantic cascading ruffles and floral corsage pinned at one shoulder, the design reminded many fans of the color palette and aesthetic synonymous with the musician’s 2006 self-titled debut LP, which features hits like “Our Song,” “Tim McGraw” and “Teardrops On My Guitar.”

“That’s the most debut dress to ever debut,” one posted on X, while another observed, “The dress is definitely debut green.”

“Green dress? Debut TV [Taylor’s Version] is around the corner guys,” a third wrote.

Swift accessorized with Retrouvaí diamond earrings, an Effy Jewelry tennis bracelet and her Kindred Lubeck-designed engagement ring from husband Travis Kelce, along with her brand-new diamond wedding band.

With the 20th anniversary of her “Taylor Swift” album just around the corner on Oct. 24, speculation has been swirling that the Grammy winner might finally release her updated version, which has been finished for over a year.

“I’ve already rerecorded my entire debut album. And I really love how it sounds now,” Swift revealed in a May 2025 letter announcing she’d finally acquired her master recordings.

More recently, New York’s Empire State Building and Dallas’ Reunion Tower glowed green (the official hue of the superstar’s first album), with both landmarks’ social media accounts playfully writing, “WhaTS happening?”

The use of capital letters matching Swift’s initials sent fans into a frenzy.

As Swifties wait to see whether “Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version)” materializes — so far, the pop icon hasn’t confirmed anything — they can enjoy her unplugged performance from the Grammy Museum gathering.

Seated behind the same flower-painted piano she brought along on the Eras Tour, Swift treated the audience to a mashup of “I Knew It, I Knew You,” “August” and “All Too Well.”
