Taylor Swift’s surprising outfit combination may actually be a secret message
Could Taylor Swift be hiding a secret message with her latest outfit choice?
The “Life of a Showgirl” hitmaker, 36, was spotted stepping out with her dad Scott in NYC on Monday, and her outfit has fans questioning what’s up the singer’s sleeve.
Photos showed the pop star wore a $325 STAUD blue and white pinstripe midi dress, which she paired with a yellow mini Lady Dior bag, retailing at $9,750. On her feet, she wore a pair of dark carmine Christian Louboutin Her in Roma Patinated calf Leather Block Sandals, retailing at $1,195.
But, her choice of colors have many speculating the singer may be involved in the upcoming “Toy Story 5” film.
“She’s wearing every color 😭,” one fan noted on Thursday, sharing a side-by-side comparison of Swift’s outfit and the film’s poster.
Fans were quick to make the connection shortly after it was reported that the pop star uploaded a “Toy Story”-themed countdown clock on her website Thursday.
The clock was only live for a brief 10-minute period before it was deleted, counting down to 1 p.m. CT / 2 p.m. ET on May 2.
The background colors on the page featured a striking resemblance to the animated film’s blue and white clouds imagery — leaving fans to speculate that the “Opalite” songstress may be prepping a soundtrack announcement.
“If Taylor announces an original song for Toy Story 5, the internet might actually break 😭✨,” one X user wrote. “Disney + Taylor is a dream combo. Now everyone’s watching that countdown even closer.”
It’s also worth noting that the film’s release date matches the 20th anniversary of the release of Swift’s debut single, “Tim McGraw” — June 19.
A rep for the singer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
It wouldn’t be the first time Swift has sent a cryptic message with her clothing choices.
In February, she was photographed stepping out for a date at Chez Margaux with her fiancé Travis Kelce in NYC. Swift sported five figures’ worth of Louis Vuitton for the outing.
The “Opalite” chart-topper kept warm in the luxury label’s sold-out Shearling Collar Wrap Coat, which retailed for $6,150 and features a self-tie belt and a contrasting monogram lining.
She carried her $4,200 Express PM Bag, similarly trimmed with the brand’s distinctive monogram pattern, and finished her monochromatic look with high-heeled Christian Louboutin Loo Botta Boots ($1,995) and a slick of her signature scarlet lipstick.
The total cost of her ensemble came to a whopping $13K — and, 13 is the singer’s lucky number.
