Garrett Yrigoyen is officially a dad!
The former reality TV star, who won season 14 of The Bachelorette, has welcomed his first baby with his wife Alex Yrigoyen.
“Hello world! Meet our son, Cole Wayne Yrigoyen 💛 Born June 9, 2025,” the couple announced in a sweet joint Instagram post on Tuesday, June 17.
Baby Cole gazed at the camera in the cover image of the carousel, laying on his back on a yellow pillow while wearing a powder blue and white striped onesie. He wore a striped yellow hat.
“He made his debut a few days early and our hearts are fuller than we ever imagined. We’re still soaking up every second as a family of 3. We love you so much already sweet boy!” the caption concluded.
Garrett’s fellow Bachelorette alum Chase McNary, who welcomed his first baby with his wife Ellie in May, shared his support in the comment section.
“Let’s goo!! Love it! Congrats. Hopefully our dudes can go fishing soon haha,” he wrote.
More photos showed Alex just after the delivery, holding onto Cole while breastfeeding him from her hospital bed. There was also one of Garrett grinning as he kissed his son’s head from a home bed.
The new dad seemed proud as he made his cameos in his son’s introduction to the world, also carrying the newborn baby out of the hospital with a car seat held with one hand.
Yrigoyen and his wife shared that they were expecting their first baby together with Us Weekly and later posted on Instagram, including a photo of the two of them holding a series of sonogram images.
“Our greatest blessing coming June 2025. We couldn’t be more excited and grateful,” Yriogyen wrote at the time.
Several other members of Bachelor Nation took to his comments to share their congratulations, including Colton Underwood, who wrote, “Ahhhhh YEAH BUDDY! Get the poles ready!”

Chase Brody McNary, who competed on the 12th season of The Bachelorette, added, “Yes!! We might need to just start our own new colony with all these babies coming..Congrats yall!”
Yrigoyen got engaged to Becca Kufrin at the end of his season of The Bachelorette. However, the couple called off their engagement, announcing in September 2020 that they were separated.
A few days after their season premiered, Yrigoyen was immersed in a social media firestorm when news broke that he had previously liked a series of highly inflammatory Instagram posts, including some that were racist and homophobic.
At the time, Yrigoyen apologized and later said he stood by his previous apology and that Kufrin had “helped me through everything” on an After the Final Rose episode of the series.
Yrigoyen and Alex tied the knot on Nov. 3, 2023, in Oahu, Hawaii. They shared photos from their wedding on their respective Instagram pages.
