Travis Kelce is (probably) heading to NYFW for Tommy Hilfiger
Who better to take NYFW to new heights?
After attending Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden, Tommy Hilfiger shared his well wishes on Instagram Wednesday — and teased a possible appearance by the Kansas City tight end at his upcoming NYFW show, which will be held at The Plaza Hotel on Sept. 10.
This would mark Kelce’s New York Fashion Week debut, as he’s never attended the shows before. And with no Chiefs games scheduled between Aug. 28 and Sept. 14 this fall, he could seemingly swing the trip to the Big Apple.
“Congratulations @killatrav! See you at The Plaza in September,” the brand captioned its post, which included a video of the three-time Super Bowl champ strolling into the iconic Manhattan venue wearing a look from the label.
In March, Kelce was named Tommy Hilfiger’s new global brand ambassador and creative collaborator, in a partnership that begins in fall 2026 — just in time for New York Fashion Week — and will continue through spring 2027.
In addition to posing for campaigns and attending events for the brand, the deal will include “a design collaboration that reimagines elevated Tommy icons,” per the company.
Kelce was already seen shooting his first campaign for the fashion brand in and around Central Park in April, footage from which featured in Tommy Hilfiger’s congratulatory Instagram post today. Swift even paid a low-key visit to her partner at The Plaza as he prepped for the shoot — as did her good friend Gigi Hadid, a past Hilfiger collaborator.
“I’ve long admired Tommy Hilfiger as an iconic American brand,” the NFL pro shared in a press release announcing the partnership.
“Ever since high school, when I used to ask my mom to buy Sailing Gear jackets, I’ve been drawn towards the brand’s confident style and over the years have respected its ability to be classic and consistent while still evolving. Getting to work with Tommy and put my own twist on timeless pieces, in a way that feels original for today, is a dream come true.”
In the same release, Hilfiger described Kelce as “one of the most magnetic figures in sport and culture today” and praised his “fearless, fun-loving and bold” personal style.
Added the designer, “He is at the forefront of a new generation of athletes expressing themselves through style, with a down-to-earth quality that people immediately connect with.
Should the “New Heights” co-host make a front-row (or runway!) appearance at the September show, would Swift join as well?
Given the last fashion show she attended was one of Hilfiger’s — in 2016, when Hadid showed her Tommy x Gigi collection — it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
