Travis Kelce’s American Eagle Collab Scores a Style Touchdown With His Hands-On Approach From Design to Creation

Travis Kelce just added another title to his ever-growing résumé.
In his latest off-the-field move, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar, 35, teamed up with American Eagle not just as the face of a new campaign — but as the driving force behind it.
Kelce served as Creative Director for the brand’s launch of AE x Tru Kolors by Travis Kelce, a limited-edition product collaboration with Tru Kolors, his sportswear and lifestyle brand, which was officially announced on Wednesday, August 27.
The “New Heights” podcaster and his team were involved in every step of the process, taking a hands-on approach from design to creation for the empowering new collection, which has been more than a year in the making and will have a second drop on September 24.
Kelce carefully selected the athletes featured in the brand’s fashion launch, reviewing the fabrics used while also tackling the color palette, sample selection, silhouette refinement and graphics.
The tight end recruited an all-star squad to star in the campaign including rising tennis sensation Anna Frey, elite basketball guard Azzi Fudd, quarterback Drew Allar, basketball prospect Kiyan Anthony (Carmelo Anthony’s son), the nation’s No. 1 wide receiver recruit Jeremiah Smith and gold medalist gymnast Suni Lee — all of whom embody the “live to play” mindset.
“I’ve had to keep my excitement about this collab under wraps for nearly a year. It was an awesome opportunity to team up with an established brand where both sides were excited to truly collaborate on every decision in the design and creative process that brought the ‘AE x TK’ collection to life,” Kelce proudly shared. “I started Tru Kolors in 2019 on the foundation of showing up authentically and having fun with style, and we wanted this collab to reflect that same energy. I want everyone to feel like there is something for them in the collection, something they can feel good in and make their own. I’m excited for it to finally be out in the world.”
Fortunately for fans, items from the collection won’t have to break the bank as the launch features more than 90 pieces priced between $14.95 and $179.95. Among the items are vintage-inspired T-shirts, reimagined varsity jackets, cricket sweaters, rugby polos, utility cargos as well as soft chenille pieces and trendy cashmere sets.
AE and Kelce joined forces with a shared passion for creating garments that leave consumers brimming with confidence, providing pieces that feel personal, purposeful and versatile.
The timing couldn’t be better, with the 2025 NFL season about to heat up. Kelce and his teammates will soon take on the Los Angeles Chargers during the Kansas City Chiefs’ first game of the season in São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday, September 5.
