Prince William and Kate Middleton go on family church outing as they prepare for ‘fresh start’ in their new home
The Wales family is leaning on their faith as they get ready to embark on a new chapter.
Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children, Prince George,12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, were spotted heading to church service at Crathie Kirk in Scotland on Sunday.
The royals were photographed while riding in their car together as they left Balmoral, where they typically spend their summer vacations together.
Middleton wore a maroon top, matching brown and burgundy plaid jacket and a black hat that allowed her to showcase her lighter honey locks, which she first debuted in April of this year.
William, for his part, was dressed smart in a white dress shirt, blue tie and black coat. He appeared very focused with a stern look on his face, as he was behind the wheel of the Range Rover.
His three kids, meanwhile, looked calm and well-behaved in the backseat of the luxury car.
The family of five was also joined for the religious outing by King Charles III, his wife, Queen Camilla, and his sister, Princess Anne, in separate vehicles.
Going to church on Sundays is customary for the royals, but the spiritual guidance comes just as William and Middleton, both 43, have decided to make a big move into a new home.
A spokesperson for couple confirmed to Page Six on Aug. 16 that the Wales family is set to leave Adelaide Cottage, where they’ve lived since 2022, “later this year.”
The Sun reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three kids are set to move into an eight-bedroom property called Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
The lavish property is reportedly undergoing renovations, which the royals are allegedly paying out of pocket themselves and are not utilizing any tax-payer money to fulfill the cost.
However, the location change has not come without controversy, as the Daily Mail recently reported that two families are reportedly being pushed out of homes close to Forest Lodge to make room for the Wales.
“They were told to move out. I guess they were given somewhere else, but they were told they had to move,” a source claimed to the outlet. “They were not expecting it.”
The insider further alleged, “Those houses are very close to the lodge, so they’re not going to want any Tom, Dick or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there.”
A source recently told the Sun that the Wales family had been wanting to move for a “fresh start,” as they had “some really difficult times” this past year amid Middleton’s cancer battle.
