Travis Kelce’s cryptic response to wedding guest asking about MSG venue revealed
Travis Kelce refused to confirm to his Tight End University co-founder George Kittle if his wedding to Taylor Swift is happening at Madison Square Garden.
George and his wife, Claire, told “Entertainment Tonight” on Wednesday that they snagged invites to the wedding but “don’t know” where the nuptials will be.
“I actually asked Travis last night and he laughed at me, so,” the San Francisco 49ers player shared.
George added, “I’m half expecting there to just be a jumbo jet on a runway and they put us on a plane somewhere.”
But the football star said he doesn’t “have expectations” for the wedding because he knows “it’s going to be amazing.”
The 32-year-old also teased that he’s “wearing a blue suit” to the wedding.
In a separate interview with “Extra TV” on Tuesday, George said the couple told their wedding guests “absolutely no gifts,” but he plans to get them something anyway.
As for his “wish” for the happy couple, George told them to “have so much fun with all your friends.”
George, Kelce and sportscaster Greg Olsen hosted their sixth annual Tight End University training summit in Nashville this week.
Swift went to Sports Illustrated and Tight End University’s Tight Ends & Friends concert on Tuesday night and performed “Love Story” with Lainey Wilson.
In his “ET” interview, George praised Kelce for not only attending the event right before his wedding, but also for his support of his famous fiancée.
“He’s got the great energy, love for the boys, but just seeing him always watch her back and always be there for her when she needs anything, it’s just kind of fun to see,” George said.
The Kansas City Chiefs player and the “Karma” singer, both 36, began dating in 2023 and got engaged last August.
Page Six broke the news that Kelce and Swift were hosting their wedding at MSG over Independence Day weekend.
“Everyone’s been sworn to secrecy,” one source told us.
The pair debated a few other wedding locations — including Rhode Island, where Swift owns a $17.75 million mansion — before deciding on the iconic NYC venue.
In a major hint at the wedding location, The Post confirmed on Wednesday that a permit application filed by Winick Productions requested street closures around MSG and a public tent be set up outside the venue for July 2 to July 4.
The permit also said the event will include 500 to 999 attendees.
In addition, a source told Page Six that Chiefs players have reservations at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown around the wedding date.
