Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole blasts social media trolls in pointed podcast chat: ‘Need to be psych evaluated’
Kayla Nicole is clapping back.
The sports journalist got candid about how she deals with internet hate in a guest appearance on Monday’s episode of the “Straight to Cam” podcast with Cameron Brink and Sydel Curry-Lee.
“No. 1 is just logging the f–k out,” the model and influencer said.
“That’s my No. 1 go-to, when it becomes too much, I just have to log out. Because it’s not the real world, there’s life happening beyond the internet,” Nicole explained.
The “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” star, 33, also called out the social media users who make anonymous profiles to leave hateful comments.
“I also think people need to start doing psych evaluations before you can create a new Instagram account with a fake profile and a weird picture,” Nicole said. “You should have to be psych evaluated!”
After Brink quipped that “weirdos” should have their own social media platform, Nicole pointed the finger at Reddit.
“I see someone in my comments at least once a week [saying] like, ‘Girl, they are going in on you on Reddit!’” she said.
“Why are you over there on Reddit, anyway?” Nicole continued. “I don’t even look. I can’t.”
The media personality has been outspoken about the negativity she’s received from “trolls” since her ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce went public with his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift in September 2023.
Nicole previously addressed the online backlash in a January episode of “Special Forces,” admitting that “going through a public breakup [has] been overwhelming.”
She went on to explain that she gets “a lot of s–t” because the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is now with “mega-superstar” Swift.
“I’ve never experienced anything like it,” the model shared, adding that she has been “reduced to a headline, to something so small as someone’s ex-girlfriend.”
Despite receiving hateful comments from some Swifties, Nicole said at the time that she “liked” the pop star and thinks she’s “very talented.”
Neither Kelce nor Swift have publicly commented on the backlash toward Nicole.
